We could all, as a society, just agree that medical debt shouldn’t be a thing. It isn’t anywhere elsewhere in the world.

My mistake and I apologize for the out of the blue hostility in that case. I read it as being sarcastically hostile.
What you see from EMT’s reaction is gallows humor. It’s just a method of internalizing with what you’re seeing. It’s really prevalent among military vets and pretty much everyone who has ever worked in emergency healthcare. I still have issues with it when I talk about some of the things I saw.
The bread I buy is $2 dollars a pound.
But you know this is exactly what many dealers will end up doing to get those reconditioning fees.
That thumb of a comptroller actually started the process of forcibly taking control the next day.
It would be cool to see a lot of the high-tech traction control and driver assist wizardry that makes the GT-R so forgiving make its way into a hybridized or electric flagship.
For sure. I actually have a plastic razor in the car to remove them. If idiots want to keep sticking them on there it can keep costing them money.
Biden was a big player in those decades crafting and enabling the policies which got us to this point. He doesn’t bear the sole responsibility but he is a dyed in the wool milquetoast centrist who played power games, in the same manner that we’re seeing Joe Manchin do so today, that hampered our energy policies and…
I should have added some context to the comment since I’m sensing I fell into the Poe’s Law trap.
Everyone’s a ride or die capitalist until it comes to gas prices. Then it’s all “da komrad prices are too high for the people. Government should step in.”
Generally speaking no its not. As pedal-force mentioned the real dangers are right at the end and potentially lighting your drill on fire futzing with it after the fact.
It depends what they’re trying to do. Sometimes it’s “Title 1 crimes are down because we hired 5 more officers last year.”
You still may have to worry about the sparks from brushed drills. We never used them in aircraft fuel tanks for that reason.
That’s fair. I was actually just trying to see if there were any statistics of gas theft from the 2008 price spike. There doesn’t seem to be a ton of granular data from that era either and I don’t have the toolset to go blasting through a bunch of local papers.
I’m not sure this is the panic the cops make it out to be. Considering it’s Allentown, which I might add, has been loudly justifying their police budget for the last couple of weeks, I’m even more skeptical.
That’s the post 2000 GOP, maybe post Nixon GOP even, in a nutshell. And it’s only getting more extreme with the rise of social media echo chambers.
And just think, the dealership could have been the hero by saying “Don’t worry about it we’ll eat the payment and investigate what happened. Thank you for providing proof of payment.” Then wrote it off to a shrinkage GL account.
