That’s nice - he didn’t write it in the actual book, however.

I just read this book twice in a row and there is zero mention of Mindy Park being Korean-American. I’ll re-read it again to make sure, but I’m fairly certain there’s not a single indicator of whatever her ethnicity might be.

TBH, I’m much more interested in seeing this movie [after I read the book] now that I know Chiwetel Ejiofor is in it. But I would’ve been just as happy with Tony Leung. Or Daniel Dae Kim. Or Donnie Yen. Which...why the hell wouldn’t you cast one of those dudes?

STOP GETTING IN THE WAY OF MY OUTRAGE.

I thought Chiwetel Ejiofor was only cast when an Indian actor had to back out at the last minute?

There’s pits of foam blocks at most gymnastic gyms that have lots of kids taking classes.

Draaaaaaamahh! and Amah-zing! are the most overused words in my vocabulary. Still. Also, Penny is the best fag-hag in the history of the world.

I hate having to take the pill. It truly wrecks my sex life. I’m 2 months into trying a new one right now and I’m just killing time until I can switch over and try something new. It just sucks because I really do have to take it, otherwise the pain from periods basically grounds me for several days a month. But it’s

don’t be simple; try varying up your responses a bit.

I take it very seriously. Without that “chemical manipulation” I would’ve lost my ovaries to PCOS years back. Definitely not sexy. Neither is unplanned pregnancy or any of the other painful conditions the BCPs can treat. Humans intentionally alter the ways their bodies function all the time, since time immemorial.

That has to stop being an excuse though. What’s their excuse for having no people of color in the virtual majority of their movies? It can’t keep being about historical accuracy when Hollywood changes movies and plotlines all the time to feature white people when the story lends (or could possibly lend) itself to a

Clooney does indeed seem to be actually goofy IRL. I got to go to the 15th anniversary screening of O Brother Where Art Thou at Lincoln Center and there was a talk back after w/ Cloones, The Coen Brothers, John Turturro, and Tim Blake Nelson. The Cloones had ALL the jokes and all the funny anecdotes.

Do it another 10,000 times and you’ll get this badge.

Can you please post this definition again. I haven't seen it enough times in this thread.

What about sensitive normal guy Clooney, like in The Descendants? Between that and Up in the Air, I sorta got my Clooney vibe back. ( Originally started when he was on TV drama Sisters as a moto dude boyfriend of one of the sisters.)

wait until i drop my “Brad Pitt is the world’s greatest supporting actor” theory on you people

Wait, so you’re complaining about a film not featuring black people in an era when Hollywood was so segregated that they had to create a special Oscar category for James Baskett because black men didn’t win Best Actor awards?

I do love Goofy Clooney BUT I also liked him in ‘Up In The Air’ and ‘Michael Clayton.’

Goofy Clooney is the best Clooney. I love him in those roles, especially “O Brother Where Art Thou”. And he seems like such a nice, genuine person too.

HELL YEA RETURN OF GOOFY CLOONEY
