You’re also comparing a body-on-frame truck to the Maverick, which is unibody and should ride basically identically to your wagon, if not better.

or! instead of saddling one person in the relationship with that entire weight, maybe don’t be a selfish asshole and buy a vehicle that suits your life circumstances more...

if the Maverick didn’t have a higher payload capacity and didn’t have a stern warning about how much you can store in the bed because it doesn’t have the dopey underbed storage, sure.

Fair enough, but a Ridgeline won’t fit in my garage properly, and doesn’t get good enough gas mileage for me. The fully-loaded (non-First Edition, non moonroof) Maverick I ordered came in at $38k but for my money I get remote start, lane keeping, adaptive cruise, power everything, dual-zone climate, and, crucially,

If you find the Maverick ugly, you might need to switch eye doctors.

My fully loaded Maverick comes in just 2 grand over that.  Not good value for money IMO.

DeMuro reviewed one, and got an indicated 17mpg.  That’s a tough sell against Maverick.

My Focus doesn’t.  But it has a knob, because Ford understands that tactile controls are more identifiable than touch controls.

created by someone who never looked at art and is also blind, maybe.

Personally, the lack of rear legroom, blind spots from the rear doors, awful fuel economy, front end styling, and reflective surfaces everywhere inside are enough to turn me away from Hyundai on this one. The Maverick is the better vehicle.  Also, why are all those buttons touch sensitive instead of physical buttons?

that rear door curving up as aggressively as it does is definitely in the running. And the cheap-looking glossy (reflective) plastics everywhere on the dash?!  And that grille only a mother could love?

Honorable mention for the M42B18 in the e30 318is.  Floggable, fun, light... everything a great engine needs.

Last time I flew JetBlue, in November of 2019 (feels like 10 years have passed since then), they had assigned seating that you select when you get your ticket.  Book early, get a window seat.

I ordered mine at MSRP, got a sheet of paper here telling me exactly what the total is.  Plus I ordered the exact truck I want, in the color and with the options I want.

your humidity protects cloth from the same level of destruction we see out here.  Out here in the desert, a cloth Jeep topper lasts about a year if you don’t park it inside.  I would expect a RNL style cover to work fine for a year until the tracks got filled with dust and the fabric got UV damaged enough, and then it

based on what we’ve seen of other Hyundai electrics (charging port in the grille?! come on, you’re begging for a 5mph collision to render the car unchargeable!) I think this is probably in the pipe line but it’s still pug ugly and seems to have a tiny cave-like rear seat area, while the Maverick makes better use of

I felt similarly, until I passed out behind the wheel on the freeway for about 10 seconds with my wife and unborn child in the car with me on a road trip. Now I’ll happily pay extra for lane keeping and adaptive cruise control if it means less risk to their well-being.

where I live, anything made out of cloth or vinyl will turn into something made out of shredded cloth or vinyl very quickly due to the sun. The tri-fold was the best choice for me out of the options Ford offers for the Maverick. I need a space that’s covered from the sun, protected from water, and that can carry

the santa cruz makes me nauseous.  *way* too much chrome, and this is the guy who’d rather have an XLT grille on the Maverick Lariat just because it’s understated.

that’s what tonneau covers are for. I ordered a Maverick, basically fully loaded, at about 37k. My wife and I are trading in her Sonata Hybrid and my EcoBoost Focus to have only one car payment plus the utility of a truck. Insurance will be cheaper, gas costs will go up but that’s the price you pay. And I’ll be able
