ecoboost is plug and play and i don’t have to fiddle with anything to have a pleasant driving experience.

we have 2 kids.  there is no third row problem for us.  I did splurge on the Lariat a bit though, but at the end of the day it’s still a pleather interior and i added the nice floor mats so it’s basically hose-out cleanable.  and 4,000 lbs of camper is quite a bit for a 4 person family, tbh.

+1 it’s a hideously overstyled nose with way too much bling.  give me that in matte black and with a bit less plastic?  sure.

a buddy of mine put over 350k miles on the one his mom drove from new and as i understand it, it basically just rusted out from under him. those are tough little trucks.  I feel like the mav is the 2021 version (unibody, hybrid) of the s10/original Ranger but with a bit more creature comforts and safety.

I’ve done some research on campers; my initial goal is to actually build a teardrop camper, which should be fairly lightweight, and then possibly sell it and upgrade to something heavier a few years down the line.

I wish I could get cloth seats with all the accoutrements of the leather seats in the Lariat, plus getting rid of the brightwork on the front of the grille in favor of the XLT grille.  Otherwise?  On paper, at least, I’m happy with what I ordered.

See, I could leave the brightwork on the grille and the pleather seats off the Lariat I ordered, but if I want stuff like adaptive cruise control I have to buy a Lariat. I’d prefer cloth heated/cooled seats, personally. But coming from my Focus, if they’ve paid anywhere near as much attention to the interior in the

This is the vehicle that the wife and I both went “we could deal with that being the only car in the household” upon seeing and discussing.  It’s the convenient parts of a truck when you need them, plus 5 seats and relatively decent mileage when you don’t.

with a little “god what did I do last night” mixed in.  I’m sorry, Hyundai’s current design language is not good looking, in my opinion.

I just put down a deposit on a fully loaded Maverick with all the trimmings, because I wanted lane keeping assist and the adaptive cruise control, which are not available on the XLT.  It came to 38k all-in with a trifold tonneau cover and all the bells and whistles.  Decent upgrade from my Focus, and a good car for a

there are gearing differences involved as well, not just aero.

Wife and I just put down a deposit on a new Maverick, with basically all the boxes ticked except the stupid First Edition paint and vinyls. It’s the truck I’ve been waiting for for a long time in a lot of ways:

how do the rest of them function then? i’m surprised mcconnell can remember to breathe in between attempts to destroy representative democracy in the free world.

anyone that can reelect a turtle to senate that many times has got to be a bit addled.

I’ve totaled exactly 1 car in my life, but not everyone is that lucky/cautious.  They have covers for a reason.

I question the wisdom of putting something as critical as the charging port in the grille.  Seems like the first good crash would leave you with a dead car, in more ways than one.

Humble bundles. “hey, I want X, but it’s normally Y price; Humble has X, plus about 10 other games, for (Y/2) shekels.

I purchased a standing desk from Branch recently, and their customer service goes above and beyond.  I cannot recommend them strongly enough.

3 cyl: always cool.

I average 36.5mpg in my Focus Ecoboost 3cyl and I’ve put all but 10 of the 32000 miles it has on it. I don’t notice a lack of power, it’s a nippy car, but that also may be up to clever gear ratios in the manual transmission. It’s an honest little car, and it seems fairly good for long term longevity.
