Wow is diesel that difficult to find where you live?

Not only that but they're designed as a closed loop cooling system, usually using pipes in the hull on a smaller application, and a heat exchanger on a larger application, so adapting one to automotive use would be relatively easy. I'm actually surprised this swap isn't already becoming common, given that these…
It's actually all mounted on the engine. Ive seen these in person and they're a wonderfully small engine designed for super tightly packed marine applications.
Many used Ferrari engines go for more than that. $25K even for just a McLaren engine alone is still a great deal. This for an engine swap would likely incorporate more components than just the engine, too, including the brake system, wheels, and some suspension components.
My neighbor has a 1960 Ford 410 MEL V8 with twin cheapo Ebay turbos and an intercooler in a 740, so I'd say it's certainly possible if that is.
There are much better choices than a Hayabusa engine nowadays:
Even better idea along those lines: Do what Roadkill did with the Vette Kart, but with this.
Voltage wouldn't be high enough, so no.
I feel like that price would be worth it for the engine alone. Throw a Motronic ECU on it, put it in some random car (I feel like a Volvo 240 would be ideal) and then go around to car shows, say you have a McLaren engine under the hood, and watch everyone stare in disbelief when they see you actually have a McLaren…
Not to mention the fact that many serious off-roaders prefer to build up their own vehicle, and the newer you get in terms of the vehicle, the more difficult/impossible (in states with vehicle inspections) it gets to build off of. I'm doing an off-road build myself at the moment (a 1984 GMC Jimmy), and the only…
How about that new Hyundai Santa Fe with the diesel engine that's about to be released? It doesn't look cool by any means, but the engine certainly is awesome and unique.
Actually no. I'm pretty young, just starting college. I'm also autistic and tend to do what I feel comfortable with rather than what's necessarily the common thing to do, resulting in everyone thinking that I time travelled into the future from the 1960s...
I have a Garmin GPS. It's quite nice in the dark when it's not convenient to stop and look at a road atlas, and too dark to see the compass on the dash. It doesn't have problems with interference from the ignition system, and it's separate from my phone, which I don't always bring with me, and gets no signal/grainy…

There’s a skateboard truck and wheels, turned by the handlebars, although I’m assuming it isn’t needed often.
Yup.
Go with an old diesel too. Something like an old GM 6.2 or a Scout with the Nissan SD33 or a non-turbo Mercedes. Even if you floor it you’ll still only be accelerating as fast as the other cars.
If insurance will indeed be the only issue then there will always be an insurance company to cover such cars. The possibility I was discussing was that of non autonomous cars being prohibited from the road to make way for faster speeds and such, just as horse carriages were banned from the highway
Obviously you misunderstood my statement. I was not talking about being able to go faster in an autonomous car. I was talking about being able to go somewhere at a brisk pace comparatively to walking or biking without corporations tracking your every move. I was not talking about new cars either when I mentioned…
That is a different thing altogether. Horse drawn carriages are slower than cars and thus should not be allowed on highways. Cars serve the same function as carriages, which is to allow you to transport yourself from one place to another using a vehicle that is under your control. Requiring self driving cars takes…
