When I saw that they’d cast Gyllenhaal for the role I was disappointed because I thought he was too dour. But he’s perfect! being in character while doing action stuff is really hard but you can see both the insecurity and the show-off in that little gif up top.

Fun fact: Apparently in the TNG television era, most LCARS panels actually did have spots on the panel that were appropriate for what the panel was supposed to do (tactical, helm, engineering, and so on). The commentary for Star Trek: First Contact had Jonathan Frakes say that, like all good actors, the main cast

ALL OF THE STARS FOR THIS!

I’d like a one-shot where he keeps pushing it every time there’s an emergency (Battle of NY, Sokovia), but since she’s across the universe it takes a little while for her to get to Earth, so every time she arrives the issue is already resolved

I would have loved if Kimmy had said “Cease all motor functions” just once!

Isn’t it more like France having ambassadors to Germany even though they’re all part of the EU?

It’s amazing how little I am surprised that you also hate Last Jedi at the end of that incredibly dumb rant.

I also fell for the marketing, as a junior in high school. I didn’t believe in magic, but I thought maybe it was a serial killer or something and was convinced this was real “found footage”.

So bizarre that while brushing my teeth today the phrase “SHRINE OF THE SILVER MONKEY” popped into my head and then I open my browser and see this!

It’s a sad state of affairs when paying for a thing you want is seen as a “compromise” akin to giving in to torture. It would be like, I don’t know, complaining endlessly about the ads on a free web site and then being outraged when they don’t have the budget to give you more free content.

What the hell does any of this tired-ass shit have to do with Star Trek? Can’t we have a single thread about a Picard TV show without someone trotting out some two year old “hurf durf shoulda campaigned in Wisconsin” routine?

Ah yes, the classic Voyager problem.

Like I said, I played both of the games a lot. I played them enough to recognize the slapper reference and the Easter egg reference. Adventure, despite being incredibly rudimentary, was very memorable as it felt like an open world for the imagination. Golden Eye was the ultimate party game after being stuck with only

He was a year older than me and I played Goldeneye, if anything its the old Atari stuff that is out of his age range, hes seen playing it as a small kid but it would have been old then, he should have been on Commodores and Spectrums.

This sounds a little tedious. I don’t really want to experience bij.

Well there’s a question though, is MU Lorca really “bad?” He was leading an uprising against the Empire when he was thought to be killed - to me that says he’s not your stereotypical evil Terran. I doubt he’s a truly good and noble person, like someone you’d find in the UFP, but he certainly be a good guy in the MU.

It is a pretty accurate description of the author’s sentiments, though.

This guy gets it.

In point of fact, my atheist friend Pete can often be heard crying out inin exasperation, “Merciful Zeus, that’s not how it works...”

Yeah it’s kind of ridiculous to hear that advice coming from someone who “made it” by showing up in Japan with several million euros.
