He even shouts “double-fist punch!” and “interlocked hands!” during the fight.

This is the silliest episode so far, and the first where you can’t really place it in *true* Trek canon without it being too wacky a universe (this isn’t a problem, but it’s a line that the previous two episodes walked a little more carefully), but what I really loved about it really leaned into the Trek-ness of it by

the action instead begins with Sokka, Aang, Katara, and Momo (also Baker)—who won’t show up for several episodes in the series—fleeing from a typically angsty Zuko

Yes, that shirtless muscle-y mutton chop guy really sells it! He looks exactly like pale, scrawny Stamets 🙄.

Also, you know, BBC’s Sherlock isn’t entirely not cringe-y fanfic itself, so it’s not really a good example from either side of the argument. 🤣

I think fan creators get a little too high on the idea that they are fighting the good fight for legitimacy when, let’s be honest, no one is really against them. Yeah, people do make fun of fanfic for lot of reasons that aren’t fair, but that’s not the problem that I for one have with some of it.

I know he’s a good li’l scamp, and can play “likable evil” really well, but I want him to be an unabashed “good guy” and one who is not a clown. I adored him as the Tenth Doctor, but he can do so much more as a dramatic actor.

You’re right about all that, but why do people keep saying his “production values” are high? He looks like a Times Square muppet busking inside a Circuit City.

Blaseball (autocorrect I swear to GOD) is not something that can be explained, and I will not attempt to do so here.

Honestly, even high-earning streamers maintain that illusion of intimacy that the “You” in YouTube originally meant.

Yup, I said pretty much the same thing.

I LITERALLY SAID THAT.

Oh yeah, I did forget about Clive!

Not that Doctor Who cares much about continuity, but I’m curious how they’re going to work around the fact that his tenure as the Doctor is almost 100% accounted for in the show proper.

hesitant to adopt a new technology until they are confident they can make it work in an intuitive, user-friendly way
