Counterpoint: you don’t have to worry about your headphone cord getting caught on something and ripping the earbuds out of your ears, which is literally the most irrationally infuriating thing in the goddamn universe.

I agree, but no such distinction was made by the commenter I was replying to.

I thought this had already been confirmed by the official movie poster.

Does anyone actually want this? It might have been cool when the hype for the franchise was still building, but at this point the whole AC universe is so convoluted and the franchise has been so hit or miss that I don't really understand who this movie is for.

Did you fail to read the part about people who need guns for their livelihood?

The game had practically no marketing compared to other AAA games, and it got good review scores because it’s a great game. It has everything to do with the quality of the game.

SE would have spent twice the money and made a game half as good, so they'd be right.

From the title I thought this was going to be about books that were fun, but that we ultimately didn’t like. For me that would be the later Hitchhiker's Guide books. They start fun, but by the end it's like watching a comedian who has forgotten that he is supposed to be entertaining an audience and is just having fun

They start strong, but I felt like they were kind of limping along at the end.

Finally a legitimate justification for my previously unjustified hatred of Russell Wilson.

As someone who has played disc golf on a weekly basis for the past 3-4 years, that was an excellent shot, and he made it look effortless.

That's Julia Roberts.

Somewhat. There's still a shot of the surgeon handling a dead baby like it's a sack of meat that really upset my girlfriend when we saw the movie in theaters.

Which doesn't speak to any of the assumptions Goobermunch is making about Miller's motivations. I was looking for something more concrete, like an interview with Miller himself.

Really? Cutting a baby out of a dead woman who had been crushed under the wheels in a car chase didn't put it into hard R territory for you?

Rent. It's an awesome visual spectacle (sketchy CG excepted) but there's not much reason to go back.

Do you have a citation for any of this?

I’d argue that it’s all spoonfed to you. It's too simplistic to deliver any other way.

The problem is that paintings and photographs are still. You can look at them as long as it takes to appreciate and understand them, and then you get to decide when you’re done.

Don't feel bad. I though the whole thing was overhyped as well. Style for days, but lacking sorely in substance.
