Boy do I wish I could "never speak of 'Aliens of London' and 'World War III' again. " They have inexplicably become my son's favorite episodes of Doctor Who and he just wants to watch them over and over again. I have seen those episodes (well, chunks of them) more than any other Doctor Who, bar none.

This was one of my first thoughts at the end of the episode. I'm not sure what they'd do with it exactly, but I would be totally OK with Clara/Oswin dying at the end of every episode for a while.

I fully support @avclub-f5fc0943a2d597c869afec4103a54605:disqus in his suggestion. Jamie was great.

It's not often I come up against a word I don't know, bu I had to look up "infundibulum." I will now attempt to use it in conversation as often as possible.

I'm with @avclub-f313f7cad99e2938b661b5bbaeaad572:disqus ; I didn't understand what Mitch was pointing out when he did so and was waiting for an explanation. I completely missed that joke.

I didn't catch Marshal's "universal 'drinky' motion" during the sped up arguments; my favorite part was when Lily stood on the couch, mimicking Mrs. Ericson's height.

This episode was not good, but Lily in that dress went a long way toward saving it.

I was in just that sort of work environment (sounds like everybody was/is), and it sucked. Especially as, one by one, the competent people left for better jobs or just because they couldn't take it anymore. After a couple years of hating my job more and more each day, I lucked into job in a completely different field.

I'm pretty sure the original idea was to have the saucer separate every time the Enterprise went into battle, but it proved too costly and time consuming to do it every week, so they mostly abandoned it, and we got to see it about twice in the series. Plus Generations.

Quark and Nog seemed much more alien out in the woods than they do within the confines of the station. It was interesting to see how the aliens on this show, who seem totally normal amongst the sets once you've watched enough of it, become much more alien when you put them in a more real-life-familiar setting.
