Interesting point about testing near Romulan space, but I'm willing to overlook it based on the fact that I think the episode is awesome, and it's pretty necessary for the dramatic tension.

When I tried to remember what episode it had been in, that was the one I came up with, so yes, that is most likely what I was thinking of.
I really thought that Captain Picard Day was a callback to an earlier episode, but I can't find any evidence of that being the case.
I've always wanted to watch Memento chronologically. Do DVD players let you program a sequence of chapters? Or is it an option on the DVD? I don't actually own it. Also, I'm sure it's on the Internet somewhere. Basically, what I'm saying is, I've always been curious to try that, but never so curious that I've actually…
My copy still says Romulans.
That makes perfect sense. Although it's a little cruel, since the Riker that gets his rib cracked actually didn't throw a party. But Klingons to care about such trivialities.
You sound like Q in this comment. "Eat any good books lately?"
Are we really really sure this isn't a joke. Because, putting aside the whole MC Hammer thing, that logo is giving me very strong flashbacks to the web of the late 90s.
See, when YOU say it, it's interesting, but in the movies, it made no damn sense.
Ooo, compulsory drinking! ::presses "send"::
While we're commenting on AVClub commenting related tomfoolery: any chance that "We Read What You Wrote There" thing is going to be fixed/removed? I liked that feature when it worked, but ever since the Disqus change, it's been stuck.
I was the one who made the comment, last week or the week before. And here we are topping the list right now: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/650…
I used to work at CVS. I HATED it when people wrote checks. If you have a checking account, you have a debit card; use it, and stop holding up the line.
There are already weeks, @avclub-53e4db6f596904f154b5efa09193e3ab:disqus , when I keep Google translate up in another tab to follow some of your threads. You may as well go whole hog.
That bit in Jurassic Park is always the first thing I think of when someone says "spared no expense." I never had any idea who Richard Kiley actually was, though.
The arbitrariness of warp speed has always bugged me. It always seemed to me that there should be some trade-off to account for not just barreling around the galaxy at warp 9 all the time. But, as I was reminded when I brought up this same point a number of weeks ago, the ship moves at the "speed of plot" regardless…
That definition only has 3 thumbs up. Y'all are slacking.
I would appreciate such an agreement. I have never watched any Enterprise (well, maybe 1 episode), but I do intend to, and, though I understand that the finale is generally reviled, I'd like to experience the horror of it first hand, when I finally do get to it.
I came, I waited, I left. I came back, I checked, I waited some more, then I left again. Now it's Monday and Frakes still hasn't been here? I am sad. My week feels…empty somehow.
The fact that all of these are being released digitally day and date with the printed versions is one of the biggest draws for me. As much as I love a good bookstore trip, I just know there's almost 0 chance of me actually picking anything up month to month. Plus, my house is already way too cluttered.
