Totally agree.

Dude, he’s been a wonderful person to fandom. He’s super active with fans on social media. Hes replied to me and I’m nobody. He’s also an accomplished Shakespearean actor and artist as well. Don’t mock him.

This also gives life.

This gives me life.

I’ve thought that an origin film or series would have great potential to invent, create, reboot a kind of story where you might see the hero emerge through various trials, etc.

Agree with this. I kept thinking after Skyfall that they had nowhere to go and were just putting out more “dark, sad, it’s personal” stuff cause it was pretty “over.”

Yeah. I think any reduction of the pretentiousness of comics films is a really good thing. The genre is filled with movies that are fun and interesting for the first two acts and then collapse under the weight of some conceptual nonsense in the last act with villains ranting their philosophy of whatever, etc.

Zero sympathy. He abused his actors.

I’ve hated every show except “Andor. I never watched any of the animated stuff and yet…something about Ahsoka gets me. I think that it’s a kids show at heart is a strength. Not the most tightly plotted thing and I have no clue who Ezra is or why he’s important but still, I really enjoy this show. I feel like something

Yeah, Disco was cancelled after almost the whole season was shot. I’d guess that the reason for the delay in airing the season is that they were doing reshoots to wrap stuff up as much as they could.

I also thought this. I think Michael became the heroic captain we see in Kirk, with her emotional journey embodying the mission, in a very complete way. Sorry it’s ending.

On a slightly different note: they filmed the whole season until the second to last episode before they knew the show was cancelled? That’s a tough way to go out. I guess there could be a time travel episode of SNW to revisit or say a final goodbye but damn…that’s cold.

I didn’t think there were “Bermuda Triangle junkies” in 2023.

It’s my favorite season.

I think there are a million reasons to hate studios and AI. And Burton’s issues are not among them. And his use of the term “slavery” is just gross.

What a terrible position to be in.

One thing that the glut of comics movies, glorious as some have been, has made very clear is that studios aren’t willing to be very courageous with story. It’s almost a given that the villain has some absurd thirst for revenge that makes no sense other than to be a backdrop for the same CGI comics action and lukewarm

For sure.

Now playing

They should have hired the folks that made animated TNG. Gazelle Automations!

I guess I feel like he gets jerked around to serve other people’s stories rather than his own character. You want him around so you create a contrivance I guess but I feel like he could’ve at least been a higher up in the command chain or had some higher status.
