When Worf left DS9 he was a diplomat. Him giant back to being a warrior or assassin felt off to me. At least this scene gave some background but still, it felt like a step back for the character.

Yeah, I agree! That classic, timeless DC animated vibe with some more adult overtones but not so much you have something ludicrous like Superman snapping Zod’s neck. I think that would sell very well and it would be good, interesting entertainment. A sure hit for a decade or more, imo.

And that Robin is now Bruce’s teenage son out of wedlock with his arch nemesis daughter and he’s a jerk besides? I’m not saying that couldn’t be like the third movie or something to switch things up a bit but the first one right out of the gate? Yikes.

That’s why I thought a good move would be to create a very clearly family friendly universe where they cast younger actors to tell the origins, the creation of the JLA, crossovers to other earths. This way, it would be clear that these stories exist in a mainstream movie series meant to tell classic DC stuff from the

Interesting. Thank you!

I think if it’s fun and accessible, the Superman film will be fine. The Batman movie with Damian as Robin? I’m thinking that’s the potential bomb because it’s going to be a whole lot of complicated backstory and a Robin that’s unknown and maybe unlikeable to the general audience. That they think that’s the sure fire

When I heard they wanted Keaton to be the “Nick Fury” of the new universe I was like, “You guys have no idea what the f you’re doing, do you?”

Was he in the Batman costume or was it a Bruce Wayne scene? What was it like?

I agree.

It is pretty on brand for them to think the movie which adapts a fairly dark and bloody comic story with a huge body count could somehow be a start of a new era of movies.

I think once they shot principal photography there was no way they could go back and reshoot with another actor. I was always annoyed by this interpretation of the character and I don’t like the actors weird, mannered performance in the role( s) but I’m pretty sure they were stuck with what they had when he started to

The ending with Keaton and Sasha Calle would have made the most sense, regardless. It was hopeful and sweet. It was just brutal watching both those characters fates. Once they knew they were doing a huge reset anyway, they should’ve given us the happiest end with the characters were cared about in the film. That

I don’t think he takes it personally but I do think that he’s got to be under a ton of pressure. Who knows what fans want anymore? How can you possibly come up with a fresh, fun take on Superman when all these comics movies have been saturating the market? I’d die.

I’m interested to see the previous story versions and the reason for changes. I mean…the robot is kinda obvious but it’s also interesting that Sulu was initially part of the landing party!

I know a lot of people look at Gunn and say, “He’s rich. He’s successful. He has all this control and freedom.”

Fair game, I believe!

I commented to my partner that I felt they’d finally found a way to make Miller’s original Flash seem less annoying by creating this much worse characterization lol.

I grew up with fun, bland Silver Age Flash, so the whole violent backstory is a hard sell for me as is Barry’s emotionally broken, weird characterization with Miller. I will say, it must’ve been a beast to shoot this thing and the Barry/Barry scenes are quite believable. Felt like plot points were missing and some of

I did background for three years in my 30’s and I now have a hold on my SAG membership in my 50’s and I understood the issues and the stakes without “education.” He understood. He’s just a big enough sorta Star that he didn’t care about what happened to schmoes like me and didn’t feel we were worth the strike. I’m
