Olyphant is a good actor with depth( as is Pine) but if he was stuck with JJ’s writing and direction, I’m not sure what would’ve been that much different.

You are imminently and auspiciously qualified!

And I’m not sure if this is intentional on their part or that it’s just a byproduct of writers who haven’t served in any form of public service or in crises before and default to some vague sense of drama, watching Pike suffer, etc. I’m a HCW who has seen a lot in the last three years and it’s really colored how I

For sure! They do this to him a lot.

I’m baffled why they cast Carol Kane and gave her zero chance to rise above the one note, kooky performance. She takes me right out of the story every time.

And thank Q for that.

Yeah, she’s got it.

I was thinking this, too. This was a pretty huge undertaking for however they normally budget and schedule these shows. To cut all those vocals and then film with any choreography to me just seems like such a big leap in terms of workload. I thought they did well e en with the many scenes where I felt I was just

I’m a regular working stiff SAG member and I’m so grateful that stars like Matt Damon are out there sticking up for people like me. Also, the many TV actors who really aren’t as wealthy as anyone thinks are talking about the majority of us who can’t get health insurance and are being threatened with being scanned and

Last season, it was “these two officers have underlying chemistry but they are doing their jobs under stress.” That I find interesting. It’s real.

Gonna agree with this. Why they thought this show needed Kane sucking up all the oxygen every time she’s on camera I don’t understand. Compare with Tig Notaro who actually adds to the scenes she’s in. I don’t get it.

I thought it was coming out in Fall or something. They just wrapped reshoots? Man…

Yeah, me too. There was a sense of wonder and humanity in that film that still feels pretty right. Here’s to hope!

I think I have way lower expectations of these things in general so I’m pretty forgiving. I think Gunn is a sincere guy who is pretty motivated to make all this stuff work. I think having supporting characters from the capeshit crowd is a novel approach to a Superman film and he’ll probably pull it off pretty well. He

Well, fortunately for us, we’ll survive and maybe even live happily either way, cause it’s just a movie.

Or just different from past movies and…gasp…still potentially fun and entertaining. You know, like a superhero movie should be.

I don’t understand the “fan” impulse to dump on a huge project like this before one scene had been filmed. Clearly, Gunn is trying to start an interconnected universe. Who knows how prominent any of these characters will be. We have no idea.

Im saying.

Ok. I was 28 when B: TAS aired.

Bottom line for me is that all the breaks with the trilogy format, which were as obvious as billboards as they were jammed into the characters mouths by the writer( Luke, Kylo), were contrivances. They were very obviously marketing decisions, not creative decisions. And they felt very awkward to me.
