OKAY so I was on the "Criticisms of Lost" Lostpedia page. What it is, is there a section "Women and Minorities" and it gives both Harold's quote(from the article I posted) immediately followed by a copy-paste rant of all the things I brought up - listed right above/below each other, in a confusingly quoted way which

Maybe you should watch an episode a day for the whole series. It'll be more obvious then. Or you know, read the books.

I'm not a fan of Michelle Rod either, but I think she and the writers absolutely SELL the role in both spots.

Really? I've met people who HATE her on-island persona, but love her flashbacks. Why are you the other way around?

Well there's those that hate how mythology / sci-fi based the show got, but we're not going to talk about them because all those people probably never made it past seasons 2/3. :P

I would love to know more about Locke / Eko / The smoke monster BETWEEN seasons 2 and 3 and what they wanted to do, before Eko's douchey actor fucked it all up.

Actually, pretty sure i've heard that it was Charlie who was supposed to be the psychic.

To be fair, the actor had a fucking good point.

To be fair, both of Ana Lucia's episodes are fucking awesome - both on island and off.

I can't wait for Fire + Water because that's when i'll be able to post my epic IT'S NOT THAT BAD essay that i've worked on.

Season 2 is probably my favorite season as well.

Well, about the shark, we're talking about theories. And every new theory at the time it's conceived feels like the best thing ever :P So for me, I saw "SO THE SMOKE IS A SECURITY SYSTEM, AND THE SHARK HAS A DHARMA LOGO AND ATTACING PEOPLE - ZOMG, SHARKS ARE PROGRAMMED AND SHIT AND IT'S ALL THE DHARMA PEEPZ" haha

…and is retracting itself from the race, after seasons 2 onwards have been absolutely batshit terrible.

So the vast majority of the comments have stated their distaste for Adrift's floating wreckage story and the shark.

I'd love to see that! Let me know if you find it. :P

Also, his role in the finale of season 2 was clearly planned from the start of S2. Lots of little hints in the first three eps, most notably the picture of Desmond with Penny. So yeah. :)

While I think that Locke episode itself, and particularly those flashbacks, are incredibly weak - Locke's vision with Boone is one of the freakiest things in the entirety of Lost.

Desmond's fate at the end of the season 2 finale is left ambiguous intentionally, because the writers weren't sure at that point whether or not to have him die there. Ultimately they loved the actor/fans loved the character so much, he was brought back in season 3 onwards. Source: commentary of one of the Desmond

You sound like someone who needs to watch JJ Abrams other project, Alias.
