Upvoted for something in Hannibal giving you cause to smile. My deepest sympathies for the loss of your furry family member. Mystic sounds like a beautiful kitty and I hope that she's chasing mice and butterflies in a land where she gets love, attention, and a picture of you to love.

Oh, I like that. Inconvenienced paramour - two words to sum up my entire comment. In my heart, I take Will's side too. But the writer in me adores their relationship and wants them to be murder husbands and live happily ever after.

Totally agreed. And yet, I still relish every single subtle innuendo between Will and Hannibal and imagine them living happily ever after as murder husbands in my mind palace. Pain and pleasure, commingled at it's best (which is probably one of the reasons I love this show).

I don't think Hannibal is the ex in his own mind. He's more like waiting in a very posh, glass-barrier cage for the right time to wine and dine his beloved into forgiving him. It's just a break, grudgingly given by Hannibal. After all, he surrendered so that Will can always know where to find him.

Season 2. In particular, I enjoyed Will's journey from victim to player in the power struggle/creepy courtship. I liked how each of the main cast learned what Bedelia and Will already knew. Relief came when Fuller presented a far superior version of Margot than was in the novel. I am a complete sucker for the

My perspective on strong female characters is defined by agency. Using another Gillian Anderson character as an example: Scully had her fair share of weaknesses, being in danger, and emotional baggage. Yet, she chose her path and accepted the consequences.

Great analysis of … Well, everything in this episode. I'm late to the Hannibal love, having binge-watched the first two seasons to catch up to this episode. I am deliciously disturbed that during "Mizumono" I was primarily focusing on the tenderness with which Hannibal embraced Will while he was eviscerating the man,

And suck greatness from Jupiter's C*ck!

At some point in the past (I can't remember if it was this season or last season), there was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it throw away line that Jenna never wound up on the Other Side. She was too pure for it or some such, having been forced to be a vampire and then sacrificed a few measly seconds later.

If the writers are smart, they play it akin to Mulder and Scully's development. Pepper the journey with sweet moments that show a clear progression without getting soap-y about it. And then, when it's earned, throw Chris Carter's insanity out the window and provide an 'I love you' scene that melts hearts. Follow it up

This. 1000x this, Ann03 and Audo.

I agree with you on the vibe from the episode. Problem being, Dries pretty much told us that Stefan/Caroline is going to happen. So instead of making an organic evolution with a surprise when it does happen, every interaction between them tickles our subconscious and stands up back of the neck hair. Honestly, before

Did your Mom watch Spartacus on Starz? If so, she's right. She's seen it before. DeKnight and his team on Spartacus were incredibly creative with their death scenes. Swords and spears had a lot of fun reorganizing and destroying tonsils and jaws and esophagi.

Biting the bullet, re: Caroline.

Yeah, I meant Santana as a storyline with the additional note that I love Naya's voice. It made more sense in my head, I think. :)

Totally valid interpretation of the events. I viewed the examples I gave as Rachel either trying to be a good friend or being a good friend - and it's possible that's because I'm giving the writers too much credit. Possible, but if I don't try to see the good parts of all the characters, including Rachel, then I need

See, I remember in the first three seasons (mostly seasons 2 - 3) when Rachel was a good friend to Kurt and Quinn in particular. Helping Kurt with his Warbler audition and his re-audition for NYADA and supporting his band thing, and reaching out to Quinn when she was pregnant and in her skank phase and (eventually)

I know Idina Menzel is busy with If/Then, but there are so many places where a quick appearance by her would make so much sense.

And that's where the "ridiculously belated" part comes in. I feel like they always knew what they were doing with Rachel and Finn, and that would translate to less stupidity with their individual arcs.

I've come to the (possibly ridiculously belated) that Glee's writers haven't the first clue what to do with their show following Cory Monteith's demise.
