Did not know. Thanks for the insight.

That’s an actual religious thing. It’s to make washing your feet easier. In many places in the world, the higher the jeans (without being shorts) the more “spiritually conservative.”

In fact, seemingly mandatory?

Thought it was culottes?

Men’s knees need to be covered at the Mosque/prayer. My pop’s actually has his pants specially hemmed for this purpose. It’s hot out, so he wants a nice breeze around his legsicles, but doesnt want to change pants when it’s time to pray.

yup - Mosque dress code is not about looking nice (it was over 100 degrees at the one i was at recently - tshirts are A OK) necessarily, but covering your knees and shoulders for men and arms, legs, head, etc for women

Capri pants for dudes should never be okay.
