Meh. Tarantino is stuck on himself. Half of his movies are clear misses. Whedon is conceited and doesn’t actually understand when or where (or even which character) to kill off characters for maximum dramatic effect. He also has a disturbing habit of taking his eye off the ball (I’m looking at you Buffy seasons 6 &…
Slamming the creator is fine, if it’s constructive criticism, but it’s the word choice that causes the most problem. You can explain to a creator why you believe that he lost sight. Now claiming he “raped your childhood” is going too far. But that’s Gotham for ya.
It’s like this continuous stream of asshole entitlement that goes so far beyond simple film criticism that I can’t stand seeing it.

He tells a story of being overwhelmed when he was went into his dressing room for the first time and his Jedi robes were all laid out for him. Both he and Ewan tell stories…
Not to mention a famous comedy bit by everyone’s favorite nerd comedian about going back in time and killing him with a shovel.
Eh, “you raped my childhood” is a pretty harsh criticism.
Pretty much everyone in the prequels felt that way too.
Quicksilver has another elaborate super-speed sequence in X-Men: Apocalypse.
“I held it in my hand and I just felt, you know, the clouds open up and the white doves come flying down.”
