I work at an arena so let me address your unnecessarily asshole points first... the seats they have at the arena I work for hockey are permanent and they ADD in seats for basketball, idiot. So you’d have to remove hundreds of PERMANENT seats and design new boards and glass, in addition to the extra movable chairs…

Oh I’m not making the “it’s worked for X years, no need to change it” argument at all - I think hockey could CERTAINLY use some things to help modernize it. No more fighting would be a big one.
