That’s awesome. The receiver first touched the ball about 8-9 yards before he caught it!

Then there will never be stolen bases.
That replay is in NO way conclusive! We can’t even see the rubber!
I like Reynolds overall, but he does talk out of his ass sometimes.
But you loved him when he was with the Mets, Mets fan? :)
LMAO!
I wasn’t kidding. I was taking what the other comment was saying literally: “splitting the $400M amongst the residents...”.
Your ideas of what to do with the money are better than just giving each person $2000.
“I’m sure splitting $400M amongst the residents in those communities would do nothing to bring them back from the brink of hell.”
Ironically, you’re correct. Do the math. That comes to maybe $2000/person in those communities. Not enough to help much at all.
That’s what I thought. But then Colon gave up seven runs in 2 1/3 innings. Maybe he just didn’t have any stuff tonight?
I hope this play gets viewed more than you think. It’s one hell of a heads-up play!
No, the rule also states that the contact needs to be made with the crown of the helmet. So there is no single “crux” of the rule.
That said, it’s a bad rule.
I dunno. The Phillies are kinda weird about these things. We’ll see if anything goes down tonight.
Hamilton, I typically wince at your class-baiting, wealth-hating pieces. But this article is SPOT ON. Random event? :)
You beat me to it. This is the best way to determine this info for your car!
I’m a professional photographer — so that’s all the “professional” help I need! You are being fooled by the foreshortening of the long lens used in that video. The player was not going to fall down. If he had been, he would have fallen. That small ref would not have been able to prevent such a large man from falling.
Thanks for that link. I’ve actually been looking for a term to describe this phenomenon — which seems to be the same phenomenon that is making people believe that police brutality is getting worse.
I think the point being made was that although the attacking of officials is still unusual, it has certainly become more common lately.
Riiiiight. That averaged-sized, middle-aged ref was about to throw a USC left tackle to the ground just by grabbing his jersey. The players was not going to fall. And then he hit the ref. Ejection every time.
Ehhh, you might want to see what Tim Burke posted at 2:11am this morning.
(Not NCAA officially, but still college football...)
Holy balls. What were YOU watching?
