This would have to be it for me, e61 M5 Touring.

They have been on sale in the US since November of 2022, so still relatively fresh on the market I’d say. I’ve seen a few around my area here in NC, but I agree they aren’t exactly everywhere.

Gomen Nasai!

I’ve really liked the new Mazda CX-50. While it doesn’t come across all that well in pictures, the factory widebody look suits it nicely. Every time I see one, the proportions and stance strike me. I have yet to drive one, but I image the wide footprint would make it handle decently as well.

I was thinking the same thing, that was certainly the BMW engine I would have picked for this slideshow. Most people are always surprised to know the late model e34 530i had a V8, rather than a straight-6. A friend of mine had a well kept one fitted with a Billy Boat exhaust, it sounded really good and was a lot of

That light would be permanently red in any of the neighborhoods around me.

I would have to agree, especially for $6k.

Now playing

Reminds me of the Golf from the movie Fire, Ice & Dynamite

We have had two dusky conures and I can confirm that they are incredibly curious, and explorative with their beaks. They are also entertained by the most random things if they can be shredded. We’ve bought them some elaborate foraging toys only to be completely overshadowed by a roll of paper towels haha.

No way, glad I’m not the only conure parront on jalopnik! Our dusky Tai can be 100 grams of terror at times haha. He is certainly smart and we have been able to teach him a few things over the years, but if he wants to go crazy... Well he certainly will 😅.

After just reading the Lucid Air touring review before this, does Kia work with Lucid? I could not help but notice the similar looking dash and steering wheel designs.

I used to work in Service at an Indie BMW/Mini shop and we had this tool kit from AGA auto: https://agatools.com/products/aga-wlrt

That is a good interpretation haha.

Is there an engine cover that has been removed for the engine bay shot or does it actually look like that? A bit “prototype” looking for a production vehicle these days.

Maybe the crossfire profile was inspired by the 356? I see the proportions Porsche was trying to invoke.

The front end has a bit of a Scoda vibe to it.

Our labor rate is $160ph, not sure if they would consider that a low cost alternative.

Its interesting you are having trouble with SilverRock. I work at an Independent service center for German vehicles and have had some amazing claims through SilverRock.

Several recent BMW products require you to jack up the vehicle(F10 chassis for example), remove under paneling and turn a bolt on the side of the transmission to engage neutral override for towing. Even for ICE cars, its not always easy...

Last image is at the Unknown Soldier Memorial in Cairo. Used to drive past it all the time on my way to Heliopolis. Always enjoy a good piece of history from the Area!
