I like Kate herself as a performer, but her work on the show has not been very good for several years. They just write her into the same “kooky” character three or four times an episode. Her impressions have become indistinguishable from one another.

A lot of people are interpreting “everything changed” to mean that she was 100% republican up until 2016 and then flipped to democratic.

I think you should listen to the actual interview. It does not sound like she suddenly woke up and flipped from GOP to dem the day Trump was elected. It sounds like her young adult life was a gradual drift from the environment she grew up in towards more liberal views. My impression is that the reference to

A bit of a mean snark on your part.”

I mean... debasement is the entire point of this show. A little bit of nudity is the least of it.

Who infringed on his right to think what he wants? Why does it need defending?

I think this is a dumb idea for several reasons, but the idea that it presents a serious risk to the physical safety of children is definitely not at the top of the list.

I think a lot of his public statements have been eye-rollingly naive. But he’s made several donations to democrats and, so far as I can tell, none to republicans. The idea that he’s a republican or a trump supporter just doesn’t hold water.

My guess is he’s cutting on plates or platters because the producers want something prettier than cutting boards.

Allow me to introduce you to St. Louis.

The most popular curry dish in the UK was invented in the UK, precisely because real Indian curry is too spicy.

It came back about a third of the way through Season 6.

I think the underlying criticism of the show is valid, but I think you (and this Oliver Willis guy) are really, really, overestimating the impact of the West Wing.

There was really no reason for Crosby to answer the question at all.

YES! We stan two scissoring queens!

Jezebel criticizing Perez is a bit like a crack-head looking down their nose at a meth-head.

The Queen ain’t that rich.

To pretend that a problem that effects well over half the country is merely a matter of personal choices is to deny science and reality.

40% of American adults are obese and 70% are overweight. It takes an insane amount of willful ignorance, or arrogance, or myopia, or... something, to look at such a shockingly widespread problem and pretend that the issue is about personal choices.

I think it’s more about creating popular content for the day after the show then about driving viewers to the show night-of.
