It’s not at all “mendacious” to point out that despite his intended meaning, his words could very easily be perceived as potentially hurtful to his children and ex-wife. The fact that some people have a different takeaway from his comments than you is not evidence that they are lying.

Yeah, Mad Men was great at making sure each episode told a complete story, even as it contributed to the overall narrative.

But 24 episode shows never had the kind of long form, serialized storytelling that today’s shows have.

I’m of two minds on this. Yeah, there are a lot of 13 episode shows that could be 10. (Or 10 episode shows that could be 7, etc.)

There are ways of sharing the fact that he struggles with depression and alcoholism, without saying that he felt “trapped” by his wife and kids. Imagine being those kids.

I can understand what he was trying to get at, but imagine being a kid and reading that your dad was drunk because he felt “trapped” by his marriage and kids.

The part of the law banning spectators from entering the field is 100% designed to protect the players.
