Exactly. Shiv even alludes to this at one point. (Maybe during the UTI scare at the shareholders meeting?)

Once again, it looked like Logan Roy (Brian Cox) was about to finally get his just deserts—only to reveal that he was, as usual, staying one step ahead of everyone else.
The reality is that policing is not an effective way of preventing crime. If you want to prevent the next car-jacking, the answer is not to pursue the previous car-jacker at all costs.
“They smashed up things and people and then retreated into their money or their vast carelessness.”
Things are only great for Logan if you agree with his mind-set that optimizing his business deals is the only thing that matters.
That’s true, a red flag would have been a better call, and might have lead to a more balanced final lap. I honestly can’t remember, did Hamilton have a fresh set of softs to switch to?
Like I said, the Aniston nom makes sense from that perspective. But are Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass really drawing eyeballs?
Not allowing any cars to unlap would have been a better officiating decision. Allowing all of the cars to unlap and finishing under the safety car would have been an even better officiating decision (and a shitty end to the season).
I think the officiating at the end of the race was not perfectly handled, and really was not well communicated. But I think if they had made all the ideal officiating calls the end result would have been exactly the same.
The ideal officiating scenario after Laftifi’s crash would have left Hamilton and Verstappen in the same exact position with one lap to go.
This certainly felt like this was a ‘has to finish under Green no matter what scenario about it’ and the FIA contrived that and Hamilton paid the price.
It is not good. Season 1 was mixed, but I’d say worth watching on the whole. Season 2 was insanely bad.
I do not understand the love for The Morning Show. The first season was uneven, but entertaining. This season was just off-the-rails bad. I get that the Globes likes to nominate big stars to invite to their party, so the nod for Aniston makes sense. But they seem to genuinely like the show?
- How would you have police respond to this incident?
I love Succession, but this is so silly. The creative world would be a much poorer place if people only wrote 100% positive things about works they enjoy. It’s good for writers to be critical.
This aligns pretty closely with how I feel about it.

Yes, I’m sure about that.
If you were the victim of the armed carjacking would you happily sit there and watch you car drive away while the police did nothing about it?
Pursuits are all about balancing risk and benefit.
