...So the solution to that is to turn an ignition key and then lock the steering? Most people in a panic wouldn’t turn it to accessory, they’d just shut it off completely. I don’t see how ignition keys save lives here. I do see improvements to be made to keyless ignition systems for better safety. Things we can

Ah, you mean the ones where people left their keyless cars on and died from carbon monoxide? People have been doing that with physical keys since ignition keys for cars existed. It’s an easier fix to do with keyless cars since you can and should have some form of auto shutoff if there’s no driver input for X minutes.

Key fobs are still superior to physical keys. I will fight you on this. And we’ve already seen the ignition switch isues from companies like VW and GM lead to deaths and other safety issues while also being less convenient.

Sales aren’t what’s underwhelming. It’s the continued dressing up of the aging underpinnings and designs. How wide can the fenders get? How big can the supercharger get? How big can we enlarge the hemi? How many trim packages can we add? It’s a bit formulaic at this point, even though it still pulls in good enough

It is designated a chrysler chassis but heavily based on the W210/W203 chassis designs to make use of components such as steering columns, rear suspension, transmissions, and more. It is closer to a refreshed Merc chassis than an all original Chrysler chassis as parts sharing is limited between the LX cars and the

Rally-spec sports cars are always good content

And to think, when the W210 chassis debuted for Mercedes in 1995, people didn’t expect it to have the longevity of its predecessors. Now, 25 years later, it still finds new ways to underwhelm.

And acura still has no clue how they fucked up in releasing the ZDX. Once again, another luxury/performance company releases their take on an SUV that isn’t quite an SUV but is definitely an SUV, just a bit more swoopy. Somewhere, their engineers are still screaming at their computer screens “WE MADE THIS EXACT THING

Oh BMW...

The price seemed obvious CP and I couldn’t figure out why a CL poster would set the initial price that high.

How sick do the drifts get when you rip the handbrake? #RallyLyfe? How well does it jump? Wait, I’ve been told you’re no longer allowed to jump press cars. How well does it handle “Yumps”? Scandinavian flick footage?

Obligatory:

Then I’m really confused at how scenes like this one got past:

This could either be an affordable quirky driver or a cheap-ish way to get into rare/collectible cars. I think it would be a bit expensive and difficult to maintain as a daily driver though. But clearly this one has stuck around for a while so maybe it won’t be too bad.

Even if GM made it no one was going to buy it since it would either be shitty on the inside but affordable or have a competitive interior/exterior and then it will be priced above what people think it’s worth.

What? No mention of Hurst’s Lightning Rods?

Loved the old top gear review of the fiesta for this simple response.

Not a hint of surprise over here. Just wait till the heavy metal/chrome containing paints, primers, and coatings are finally axed from future vehicle and plane programs when these stupid-ass legacy contracts finally expire in like 2035 or so. Decades of spraying and servicing quite hazardous paints onto parts simply

He helped himself to all the pens in the glovebox before giving back. And some of their silverware. And left the gas tank on E........But he had a jaaaaaaaag

Robert Kraft knows this first hand. And second. And third.
