No, its excruciatingly slow and boring and they talk instead of, you know, doing cool stuff like, say, SPACE BATTLES. I hated it.

Kaguya-sama manga vol 12 just popped through my letterbox today... The manga is excellent, though I thought the way the anime brought it to life made it even better than the original source material

Yessss Kaguya-sama takes the crown. So good. It’s one of my favorite manga and I’m super glad it got a great adaptation. Can’t wait for the second season!

I won’t pretend that it’s necessarily ground-breaking, but as someone who doesn’t usually get too into big time shonen series I can say that I enjoyed Demon Slayer quite a bit anyways. We have a podcast episode coming up about it in a few days where we discuss our thoughts on the shows on this list in more detail if Read more

FruBa Season 2 and however many other seasons there will be should rank higher since we’ll be getting into material they haven’t already adapted before.

For a redo of a nearly 20 year old show, its overall success is nothing short of impressive.

Thank you for listening and writing this comment, Aether. My thoughts on this situation have been mulled over for months, so when it came time to deliver that monologue I didn’t even need to read from anything. I already knew exactly what to say. I think Luigi made the best point about this whole thing in that it’s Read more

I am SHOCKED (actually shocked this is me being serious) that Bleach: The Blood War has not been produced yet. It would actually be cool. 50 episodes would allow nice pacing, decent animation, and they’d wrap up the series nicely. Inuyasha did it well enough nearly a decade ago, though the pacing was insanely fast.

Absolutely. I honestly hope the eternal shonen model dies this decade. That, or Shuisha is going to be digging hard its in heels to fill the void somehow. It would not surprise me if they dig up some of their old corpses (hey kids, remember Bleach?).

I’m going to make a claim that in 2018 might have been radical but is now probably widely accepted: Black Clover (and I suppose Boruto) will be the last eternal shonen. I can’t see anyone else even Dragon Ball Super when it returns trying to take up that model again. The six months on six months off just seems too Read more

Agreed. It mostly came down to time or I might have added a few more.

Dil, that was an incredible monologue! I’m glad someone is speaking out on it. I haven’t been on the social media sphere long, but it’s awful seeing the fallout from this and seeing the victims harassed online months after they went public. Even now, I’m still seeing it online with something as a simple tweet put out Read more

In all seriousness, the last 3rd of the Winter 2018 season, I was laid up on my couch after breaking my ankle in 3 places. Laying there, sitting there (eventually), working from home on there, sleeping there, for 3-4 weeks I only got off of it for doctor appointments, bathroom, and sponge baths. Read more
