I may be a 335is/N54 owner but I fully expect the E9X M3 to be a future classic for the reasons you listed.

Good god please let this be the impetus Subaru needs to develop a good engine for the STI. How the WRX has been out since 2014 without a revised DI engine equivalent coming for the STI is beyond me.
THAT AIRBOX!!
I drywalled, wired, and insulated my entire garage for $700, Home Depot complimentary delivery into the garage. I know I know it’s the cost of the SJ, but with a small heater (damn 15A old circuit common to lighting and part of the kitchen) it still keeps the garage at 55* easy in the absolute dead of winter.
I’m guessing it was parked on the street for a good portion of it’s life. That happened with my trusty Saarabu and the quarter panel started to rust from the wheel housing out on the left side when the right side was spotless. The same started underneath the car. All from the salt trucks driving by and whipping salt…
Why?
In what universe is that droop from the rear quarter panel into the wheel well gorgeous? It literally looks like the taillight is melting into the wheel housing.
100%, the only good rust prevention I’ve seen comes from Germany. My Mk7 GTI still looks great after 2 (albeit mild) Michigan winters and my 335is saw a very slight amount of exposure before I bought it but it looks almost completely pristine.
There’s a great under car shot of the rear suspension on a zero mile hellcat outside at rust belt dealer already with surface rust coating everything. You'd be shocked how bad ferrous irons look on most cars after even one exposure.
Well shit, my car just went into winter hibernation mode.... ummm.....
Had a WRX (okay 9-2X aero), test drove brand new STI. COMPLETELY different vehicles. Numbers do not tell close to the entire story. Case in point, an F3X 440i is as quick as my E9X 335is but you literally could not pay me to drive an F3X or my E9X for fun any day.
Full, clinical, and boring. Have a GTI, it sucks. Golf R is just as clinical and soul less, just faster.
No stick.
No stick. And I think he meant less than $100K.
Booo, the reply comment about sitting at work and loving concrete core samples should’ve won.
There are several internal components that are whittled down in the Accord family engine so sadly it’s not as easy as add the CTR turbocharger and you’re golden.
Almost exactly the same, 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette, oh yeah. Funny enough if you put that thing in low gear and nailed it at 5mph that thing flew to 30mph. Upgraded to my dad’s 9-5 shortly after fortunately.
I am happy to report that age 31 I am officially that old man who stands in whitie tighties on his front porch yelling at whipper snappers to get off my proverbial lawn about their autonomous cars.
As an E92 owner driving a 340i Xdrive Gran Coupe (I am sure I am forgetting other crap that’s part of the name) loaner today I can say this makes total sense. The garbage they are trying to push as a BMW today is because of all the resources being spent on this other garbage... Or that’s my hope so BMW may one day…
Is it wrong that seeing this as a Michigan resident I go “meh”
