The best advice I've ever heard for public speaking: be right, be brief, be gone.

Ha, excellent troll-baiting. Please keep this thread going.

This thread is just great.

No, he's right. "Going to the beach" or whatever, is a pretty lame excuse for not watching a clinching game. Check this out: no one, in any market (Miami included, appartently; by the beach, boooiiii!) thinks the Heat are anything but an artificial piece of ratings plastic. No one.

Yeah, but this article was pretty bad, still.

Dude. It's getting bad. For an outfit that says "fuck Bristol!" guess what: shit like this makes Deadspin = ESPN Page 2.

My own understanding has been that they're still digging themselves out of hole they were dug into during the twilight of the Old-Man Wirtz (seems consistent with "Blackhawks will need at least two more years before turning a profit." from the article).

Sorry, you're absolutely right. Apologies.

Is there any backstory on the guy they rolled out to 'sing' the National Anthem? Yeezus he was bad.

Those earlobes... wow.

That is an excellent, excellent freak out.

Harper do you like the Wall?

The roids shall flow.

The Los Angeles Dolphins!

Nah, sorry bromie, but those are bucks. Aside from the 'lil Vitale(s) wriggling around whenever they turn towards the camera, the head & body shape all say buck. Also, contextually, shed season (the annual dropping of the antlers) has run it's course by now, and thus the buck fight antlerless, in the nude.

+1 & thanks, from a Villanova Alum and fellow outsider (from the midwest). Your article perfectly encapsulates the feeling of attending a Big 5 match up. It's different nowadays, of course, but even still, the inwardness of the whole city makes any Big 5 match-up feel like straight up 16 mm.
