My country has had mail in voting for years and years, and has faced no problems. I’m sure we’re not the only ones. Honestly, if Trump’s going to lie so brazenly, Twitter should attach a klaxon and the words “THIS IS HORSESHIT!” to every single tweet.
The wrong president died only 30 days in.
What a ridiculous statement from Trump. This has nothing to do with free speech. All the comments he refers to were typed, not spoken.
Actually in a strange sort of way, it kind of makes sense.
Damn, that’s cruel.
I remember watching an episode of All in the Family where the plot revolved around Archie doing a skit at his lodge or men’s club or whatever wearing blackface. The entire episode was about how racist and stupid blackface is. This was in the early/mid ‘70's!! People have known for a loooong time that it’s shitty. Fuck…
C’mon, aneurysm! Get mad, Donny! Give in to your anger! Let the rage build! Row it like a boat! Stroke! Stroke! Stroke!
And he’s fucking whining about it. Again.
So pointing out when a candidate lies is “interfering” with an election?
The lies from trump are really ramping up now. He’s becoming unhinged. – Catherine Neville, London, United Kingdom, August 2018
You know, I’m starting to think that President Trump might be kind of an asshole.
So Twitter contributing to the conversation equates to stifling free speech.
That skit was written by multiple people, read at a table reading, approved, and then rehearsed before it made to air. Like EVERYONE is at fault here.
I recall this skit being problematic a few times before now, but perhaps not as widely known.
The theory is that when 45 has done sometime so heinous or inhumane, people cite Fallon as being a source of humanizing him with that hair scene, which helped 45 win the election.
People have wanted Fallon gone since then.
He apologized. That’s more than most can do nowadays.
Are you confusing 2000 with 1900? Are you seriously arguing that blackface was acceptable in 2000? What?
I’m old enough to actually remember the early 00s, and black face was definitely not “acceptable.”. I can think of shows where it was used, but the joke was always that the person doing it was doing something completely terrible.
When’s Fred Armisen’s time?
In Jimmy Fallon’s defense, it was the longest he ever went without breaking.
