Yeah, I knew they hired Pauson to do something. Paulson is such a heavy hitter—she’s like the Yakuza in the white suit in that classic Simpsons bit. You know she’s gonna do SOMETHING... and when she does, it’s gonna be good.

Well now you’ve made me want Quaaludes!

I teared up, too, but thought it odd that it didn’t seem to register with anyone else? Were we meant to think Rosemary immediately stood up with her “this sucks” attitude to try to cover for their standing (not in favorable way, I mean, just to save face for herself)? Because if not it was peculiar that nobody had the

Her quiet speech, after her dark night of the soul, asking her fellow forum members why they couldn’t find some common ground with the libbers [”who, exactly, is attacking us?”] was heartbreaking.

I sincerely think Melanie Lynskey is the best actor alive, so it was cool to read this. Hello I Must be Going was really fantastic. They didn’t need a budget, they had her.

I think you’ve nailed it, I hadn’t thought about valium. The other drug that came to mind was meprobamate (aka Miltown), but I’ve not heard of it having effects like what Alice exhibited.

The series finale of “Mad Men” is terrific, one of the better finales ever.

She took Valium, more than likely. That was the drug women took back then to calm down (I’m old enough to remember). You could get it in any strength, 2mg up to 10 I think.

You’re insane if you believe that. For starters, the series finale is pretty perfect: the speed-cocktail episode is also great. And my sweet, sweet Lane comes to mind as well

Leaving June 4

This episode probably contains my all-time favorite Sarah Paulson performance and that’s saying a lot. She nails every reaction, every nuance, every shift, every little triumph and great defeat, not to mention the drugged state (which looked like alcohol, ecstasy and hash to me). Paulson’s been great as Alice

Thanks for this interview. Lynskey is my favourite working actor and I never felt she got much recognition, but I’m very happy to learn that she’s so sought-after.

Finally, some good news.

Green Light is one of those damn songs which, once heard, not only sets up home in your brain but starts decorating and inviting friends round.

Hate that I had to Google Lorde songs, because none immediately came to mind, which is a shame seeing as how she’s legit talented and low on the ego. And I much, MUCH prefer her version of mumble-singing to Billie Eilish’s version of whisper-mumble-sing(?)ing that everyone seems to go nuts over. Which, more power to

god i liked her. she was my fave.

^^^ This.  It’s frustrating, because I feel like the hard left has given up on the real tools to regulate business.  They exist and they work, though!  And it’s a LOT easier to sell an average person on how big companies need to “play by the rules” than “big companies and CEOs should be taxed out of existence and/or

What have you got against dandelions? Did you blow and the person did not love you back? My God, man, there’s only so much a flower can do!

Joe Fucking Rogan, the dumb douchebag’s idea of a smart cool guy.

When Spotify started buying their way into the podcast space, they kept sending out reassuring messages that none of their podcasts would be exclusive to Spotify. It was the usual style of self-serving PR bullshit, as everyone with a brain understands that what they meant is “none of the podcasts will be exclusive
