It was great for the viewer, but if he was at all trying to hide his discomfort, it didn't work. He seemed miserable and was a bit of a killjoy. Great bit and overall episode.

Peel it then freeze it. It lasts forever and grates more easily, with less mess and less stringy stuff stuck to the holes of the grater.

Not sure if you're in to this kind of thing, but it's pretty easy to find full series downloads of the show. The one I got was lovingly cataloged, included all of the specials, even the in-the-classroom videos.

He's my culinary hero, but I agree that, while I can't place an example or even a tell, I just feel like there's a veiled aggressive streak in him. It wouldn't surprise me if he turned out to be a violent person, but I don't know why.

I love how the "Motherlover" video starts with the guys finally getting out of jail after getting arrested during "Dick in a Box."

I first played the game a couple years after my friends did back in junior high, and I distinctly remember asking them:

The interesting thing about the "no drama" argument - which I still believe to an extent - is that Top Chef Season 6 had about as little drama as this show has ever had and yet is widely heralded as the show's best season. The sheer talent of competitors like Kevin Gillespie and the Voltaggio brothers really was the

Huh, I never had any issues with the controls, either on console where I first played it or later on PC. The item management is wonky on either platform, especially in dealing with your partner, but I thought the combat was tight enough. In fact, playing on PC almost feels like cheating, because the game's timing

Objectively I know that I should be over the moon for Yooka-Laylee, but whenever I see a trailer I'm not feeling it. I wonder if Banjo-Kazooie had never been a thing until now and it was that game I was seeing for the first time, would I feel the same lack of interest? BK is, no joke, one of my absolutely favorite

Waiting for the price to drop so I can pick up the HD collection to own. I had it rented, but at the pace I play games that really is not the kind of game to be renting. Got over halfway through FFX, but I was only playing that for posterity's sake. Really it was X-2 I wanted to play, and I never even started before

OoT for DS sounds like a weirdly great idea to me right now. I wonder how cheap I can find it. Played it to death on its original release, but have been wanting to play the DS version forever and never have.

My time in the Forbidden Woods was the closest I've come to throwing a controller in a long time.

Just remember, good dads play Rafe so the kids don't have to.

Microphone: same. Hit detection stuff for tambourine hits, but supposedly this was improved in the last patch. Haven't confirmed IRL.

Rock Band 4 is still far from feature complete, but it's not broken any longer. Patches have improved game performance considerably, and the Mad Catz firmware updates fixed issues I had with the drums. They are now good-to-great. As far justifying the purchase, I guess it depends on which features you valued from Rock

I might futz around in Rare Replay a little more, but I think I'm nearing the end of my time with it. Of the games in the collection, I was most excited to play Banjo-Tooie, because I never beat it back on N64, and unlike Banjo-Kazooie which I played in 360 Arcade some years back, Tooie I hadn't played since its

I think I still prefer the plumber's first foray into turn-based combat, Super Mario RPG, just so many great memories playing that one. Thousands-Year Door is better in many ways, but my heart lies with the original.

For sure. I respect people who can play it that way. I believe it would lead to a more earned experience. The kind of adventure that completely takes you over. You become that person.

Terrific episode, too. Really any episode with that much Canada.

I'm just happy to see a mention. That's one of my very favorite NES games. I even had fun with it years later on Virtual Console.
