Same boat. I had no interest in Rodney until the final 3, when he presented what I thought was by far the most watchable program. Not sure if I'd stick with it, but I'd probably give Pie Style a chance. I have no intention of watching Damaris's show.

Yeah, she definitely had a lot a learn and didn't seem ready for prime time. I'm guessing the judges felt the same way. I still have hope for her show, though. Plenty of past "losers" have found shows either on Food Network or Cooking Channel. I enjoy Kelsey's Essentials enough to DVR it.

Hmmm… I didn't get that, but maybe I subconsciously like that quality. It's the big eyes for me. I even remember when she was the client on Restaurant: Impossible, and I was instantly infatuated with her then. As soon as I saw her on this season's premier I thought, "It's her! She's returned to me!"

Yeah, I've heard about that. Really excited to see what happens there. He's got a podcast now that has been pretty good so far, too.

You know what would be great show for Alton Brown? More Good Eats!

Really shocked (and disappointed) by how this season turned out. I would not have pegged any of the finalists for a shot at the top spot even midway into the competition. I am particularly unenthusiastic about Demaris's "all men are pitiful dolts in the kitchen and need my help to get some tang" concept.

Nope. Actually, that was the Egg finally serving its purpose. When discussion of the baby shower started, Mrs. Snape+1 said, "How about you do a brisket?", to which I replied, "I need a new smoker."

:)

Yeah, that's delicious. I also like it with smoked paprika, or a variety of chile powders. That is, powdered chiles, not the generic blended "chile powder".

I guess in this case they're both right. Here in the U.S., "natural" does mean without drugs, although the home-birth element is never implied. We'd say home-birth, because that is relatively unusual. There's never an expectation of home-birth.

Yep, in McKinney.

Most anything in the Warioware franchise is delightful, including the first one for the Wii (can't remember the subtitle. "Smooth Moves?")

And probably not long after the endorsement kicked in.

I know it's perfectly safe, and in some ways even beneficial, but I find having sex with a pregnant lady super weird and I don't want to do it. Mrs. Snape+1 and I haven't bumped them uglies since, what, March?

I smoked a whole brisket on my Big Green Egg for Mrs. Snape+1's baby shower. Overnight cook, 12 total hours on the heat, absolute fucking success. I joined at the very end of the party to start picking up the presents and loading them in the car, and  I heard more than one "best brisket I've ever had."

We had our trees trimmed a couple weeks ago (because the city made us), and the guys we're supposed to haul the limbs and trimmings away. They didn't. Worse yet, the left everything in our neighbor's yard.

The three tracks in the middle of the album I would consider full instrumental tracks, not interludes, but all the other softer, jazzy moments … yeah, interludes works for me.

They only just started bottling last week (srs), so if you don't see it, keep looking around. I think they plan to ship to Austin. Definitely you'll find Franconia all over the Dallas area, especially the Kolsch (at the moment) and the Dunkel most anytime.

Yeah, I like it, though I prefer their Dunkel. Ever taken the tour at Franconia?
