I remember my first MH game. It was 3 Ultimate on 3DS. I think I’d probably put in close to 100 hours before I’d actually figured out how armour skills work (it used to be a lot more complicated than it was in World). In 4U, I was better prepared, but still had a lot to learn. I spent far too long grinding low rank

Diablos managed to get me fair and square first time around. Doesn’t help that he was pretty high rank in the only previous MH games I’ve played so I don’t have as much experience fighting the guy. But I got him on the second go without too many issues.

Here is a thing I love

Fun Fact: The Touch was originally written for the Stallone movie Cobra

I moved to Leeds last summer. I can personally confirm everyone here is stunned by how shitty that logo is. And I just got back from a work event at Elland Road.

Nintendo has struggled with third parties since the N64. And whilst that and the Gamecube underperformed massively in comparison to their competitors (well, Sony anyway. They did better than Sega and GC was about neck and neck with the original Xbox), they still made Nintendo money.

The Wii still sold a phenomenal number of units. And it was cheap enough that they turned a profit on every one. No, the attach rate wasn’t great, that’s undeniable, but you’re slightly off the mark thinking it didn’t sell anything. Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus shifted over 20 million copies each, which puts them around

The reason Nintendo can do weird things like the Wii U is because they have enough money in the bank to experiment. The value of their business isn’t in the hardware, as such. It’s in their IP. They can make more money sticking Mario and Pikachu on every piece of merchandise you could possibly think of than they do

All due respect, that’s a sample size of one. I had tons of friends who were into comics as a kid, some of whom even still managed to be considered cool at school. And the X-Men cartoon was on TV, everyone watched that everyone thought Wolverine was cool.

Let me let you into a secret. Comics were *always* mainstream. There’s always been movies and TV shows. And merch? Oh boy, has there ever been merch.

I genuinely don’t have an issue with Nintendo sequestering this stuff away on mobile. Considering all the loot box drama going on around games like Battlefront and Destiny 2, if Nintendo wants to make a Fire Emblem game where heroes are random drops, or an Animal Crossing game with activity timers, then please keep

Three months.

Neebs are great. I’ve been fans of theirs since the days they were just doing animation. I’m still not really on board with the whole streaming thing, but I love their YouTube channel. Their Subnautica playthrough is one of the most entertaining I’ve ever seen.

First game was about the same. First expansion launched in December after a September launch for the core game.

I kinda don’t mind S&M Airlines! The cover of Go Your Own Way is genuinely decent!

Together on the Sand...

Really depends what you want to get from it. The combat is fun but PvP is largely dominated by ultra optimised tryhards like Harry Potter who just barely avoid being classified as full on griefers. Haulage is tedious as hell but by far the most profitable activity. Exploration can be an awe inspiring way to play the

My Warlock went FWC for the guns. My Titan went NM so I can cosplay as Iron Man.

Brachydios was in 4U and Gen, Lagiacrus was also in Gen. I’ve got no idea what their plans for the games going forward are, since this seems like a big turning point for the series, but I’d be surprised if we didn’t at least see Brachydios.
