I never get why people struggle to describe it so much. It's fantasy Metroid with some RPG elements. If you love MetroidVania games, then it's for you. Simples :)

Hmm, that's interesting. I played a reasonably tanky build (Elite Knight set, Greatshield of Artorias, various large weapons (fnarr fnarr)) in Dark Souls, and I had no idea that dodging was considered that much superior to blocking.
They're not as bad as people make them out to be. I think the problem is that nobody ever seems to be able to describe the bloody things correctly, but there's a very simple analogy.
I didn't think I was being that big a dick, personally. I wouldn't hoped that the comical OTT addition of weeping was an indication of that, but if it came across that way then my bad.
Yeah, from a Linkin Park video. That's totally where those are from
Yup
There's still heaps of breeding going on. Especially with perfect IVs being easier than ever to get this gen. I'm on an epic breeding jag at the moment, trying to get a full library of every competitively useful pokemon with perfect stats and egg moves. I'm up to a little over 80 now. Just finished Self Destruct…
Well, it IS banned under Smogon rules (as are mega Khangaskhan, Mega Lucario and all variants of Blaziken), but there's ways to get around it. Ghosts aren't affected by Shadow Tag in gen 6, so there's that, although many of them will struggle to take a Shadow Ball from Mega Gengar. Prankster Taunt can also shut down…
Use a fast taunter. If both pokemon have Prankster, it's all down to standard highest speed goes first. Whimsicott and Thundurus can both out speed Klefki, although Whimsicott can't do much beyond that.
I can't stop thinking about the guy out there in the world, desperately trying to pluck up the courage to tell his significant other about his gnat fetish.
I wasn't aware Bandai had used Starscream toys as part of the Macross range. Starscream was already a toy from a Japanese toy line (all of the original Transformers were, although not all from the same line). Are you sure you're not getting confused with Jetfire, who was a Macross Valkyrie released internationally as…
My opinion has always been that if you want to be good at anything, you put the work in. I don't imagine I could turn up at EVO with a special controller that lets me pull off all the special moves in Street Fighter without putting in the inputs. I've got a friend who's decent at SF and he puts in at least an hour a…
They're too busy putting extraneous seams on everyone's costume and claiming that superheroes don't get married. I wouldn't hold your breath ;)
Judging by this thread on Comic Vine wondering who would win, I would say they've never had a boomerang contest.
The best IV breeding I ever managed was a couple of 3IV, relatively superior Pokémon in Black 2. Up until then, I hadn't bothered with IVs at all. It was too much goddamned work
It's WAY easier to get perfect IVs now thanks to friend safari and destiny knot. I really do only need the judge to tell me which are the perfect stats, and up until I traded for a 4IV Ditto last week the best I had was 3.
Step 1- Hope you've got a buttload of entry hazards down
Which isn't an unfair point, as far as it goes. You're right as far as the influence on all those characters, but with Murphy and Dredd differing so much as individuals, the influence from the comics is more one of style and tone than anything. Verhoven has always been lauded for the satirical aspects of the movie,…
Funny you should call Dredd a spiritual successor to RoboCop, since that movie was so massively influenced by the Dredd comics in the first place. Want to know just how massively? This
