I have 2 5 speeds: My daily 4Runner and my 94 300ZX. I will miss them. A six speed is great but many of the modern 8 speeds I’ve driven always seem to be in a higher gear than I want them, and take to long to kick down several gears when I want to pass. I usually keep all newer cars in sport mode.

I’m consistently able to get 18mpg with the cruise set on 85 in my 2012 4WD Limited, I’m sure the new hybrid will do much better. I actually saw the 4Runner as a reasonable and economical choice. Half the guys I work with have super duty trucks so my perspective may be a bit skewed.

Also why the reluctance? Florida is

Nice car but the only collectible 4 door BMWs have a name that starts with M.

She was from Georgia!!! We don’t claim this one.

God’s instructions were clear, you shoot into the air directly at the eclipse.

They have put out some great stuff, but very few of them have attempted anything like the international specials. Top Gear drove a Hilux to the North Pole 15 years ago (which I actually watched on youtube back in the day). The closest I’ve seen anyone on youtube get was the seen through glass guy driving his Porsche

While there’s a lot of great stuff on car youtube, the BBC’s budget really lets Top Gear go above and beyond in ways no youtube creator ever has.

If they are taking the basic idea of a few people driving interesting cars through amazing places, without trying to force a carbon copy of the Grand Tour/Top Gear format, that could be a good show. Other than Anthony Bourdain, Top Gear and specifically their specials was the show that most inspired me to travel the

I’ve been wondering if this generation will be smaller and cheaper than the current 4Runner to slot in below the smaller, cheaper Land Cruiser.

Ford made a 4 door Thunderbird with rear suicide doors for this generation, which makes it even more strange that a 2 door model was picked for this conversion.

This is exactly the question the Mercedes E63 wagon is built to answer.

You’re dating yourself a bit. Tiktok is for young girls, Instagram is for millennials and “X” post rebrand is for conservative edgelords.

This was REAL?!? I assumed this was some AI deepfake when I saw it on Instagram.

I’m amazed Nissan didn’t revive the Xterra years ago. All they need to do is build an SUV on the Frontier platform, they will sell a ton. Especially since the main competitor, the 4Runner, is ancient.

Not super surprised that a billionaire is nostalgic for an age where the first class passengers got first priority on lifeboats and steerage were left locked below decks to drown like rats.

Best? This is just a list of every luxury sedan under 60K, plus the Taycan.

I may be alone here buy I have always thought the C5 looks a lot better than the C6.

There are similar cars for sale without salvage titles in in the high 50s/low 60s I would expect a much bigger discount.

here in Florida a quarter of drivers have no insurance, and even among insured drivers they might not have liability. It’s ridiculous to stick stolen car owners with very expensive tow bills.

His claim that using Uber for your commute is cheaper than car ownership is ridiculous. I just opened Uber and the cheapest option to get me home from work is $26 before tip. Round that up to $30, 2 ways 5 days a week, and you’re spending $1200/month on commuting alone. My commute is not even very long: 10 miles each

At least that amount, if not much more. Plus meeting safety standards that are vastly different from when she was built.
