EVs, and EV trucks especially, are known to be both extremely heavy and extremely flammable. If you want to do some damage with a vehicle they are the natural choice. I would not jump to the conclusion coordination exists. 

I’ve had the misfortune to be stuck behind large cargo trains at these crossings, you could be waiting 20-30 mins for the train to clear the grade crossing. Meanwhile someone’s house is burning down, or they are dying waiting for medical attention. No other country allows level street level crossings with the frequency…

I think the distinction is you cannot get a third row with the hybrid because the battery takes up the room the extra seats would occupy.

I totally agree, speed cameras in all instances are a blatant cash grab. There are many other methods to control speed, you could change the configuration of the road for example, but that would cost money instead of making it. 

Is the maintenance on these things as heinous as Jags reputation would suggest?

I’ve lived in HOAs and only keeping registered vehicles in driveways is a pretty common rule, but most associations will give ample warnings before resorting to something drastic like towing or fines. If I were a resident of this community I’d be voting the board out for sure.

I’d have to imagine it would cost somewhere north of a billion to make the ship habitable even as a stationary office/living space. Only an insanely rich person with a passion of the ship would even consider restoration, there will never be any sort of profitable business case.

I agree, no where is safe. And you are absolutely correct about unreported water damage. By some estimates 1 in 5 drivers are uninsured in Florida, and if you have no insurance you aren’t going to make a flood claim.  

I live in South Florida and I’m seriously considering travelling out of state to buy my next vehicle. Our roads flood all the time, there’s no guarantee a used car won’t have unreported water damage. Couple that with the general shadiness of dealerships down here and I have zero confidence you can buy a used car here…

How does Hertz still have customers when they keep having everyone who rents from them arrested?

I used to do some TURO hosting, their insurance is as good as you pay for it to be. They offer tiers with varying deductibles depending on how much of your trip revenue TURO keeps. Hope Cybertruck guy ponied up for the premium insurance or he will be paying thousands out of pocket.

I feel like I see a shocking amount of articles online about school drop offs, and my friends who have kids have complained about their school’s policies as well. Is getting kids into school just normally a shit show?

I would 100% buy this, and I currently own a 2012 4Runner that I’ll be looking to replace in a few years. 

This looks great, I was pretty set on replacing my 4Runner with the new model in a few years but I like the look of this thing a lot more.
