Couldn’t agree more. After daily driving my 5 speed 300ZX for several years in South Florida traffic I bought a 4Runner as a second car. My irritation level in stop and go traffic is significantly less.

I never saw them that cheap. I signed up for the mailing list and email alerts as soon as the race was announced, never even got the opportunity to but one. Now they’re all $1500 plus on stubhub.

I’ve had the same experience with my 1994 300ZX. I wish someone would sell me an extended warranty!

They’ll make it work, semi-organized chaos is the Florida way. I just wish I could afford to go. The cheapest one day tix to the race are over $1500.

I would happily take this. Condoms suck and I’d prefer not to pay child support.

South Florida resident! All of your states’ bad drivers come here on vacation, so in addition to the native craziness (which is considerable) we have all the bad driving habits from every other state. Plus all the bad driving habits from Latin America.

In my experience the European rental car companies, Europcar especially, are VERY strict on even minor damage. Most big American rental companies don’t even look for minor scratches. I have twice had Europcar issue a bill over incredibly small windshield rock chips that were barely noticeable to the naked eye, maybe

At work, but it’s Friday. Jeans and a golf shirt.

Any container full of wine counts as one glass, whether it be a standard 5 ounce pour or a literal bucket.

I didn’t know they let blind people drive. Boom! Judged.

Also, a good portion of our “crazy airline passenger” stories are idiots from New York who come down here to party and get wasted before their flight.

The location near me regularly has their line spill out into the main road during peak hours to the point where I make a point never to be in the right lane when passing the place.

Porsche and VW both make EVs, it’s entirely possible this scenario is playing out right now.

I rented one through Turo recently for a ski trip, I thought it drove great and had plenty of power. I really want to try the V6 now, I’m sure it’s a blast.

He was in Dexter, and also had a small role in Mad Men

Totally agree, these far left calls to defund/abolish the police alienate huge swaths of voters and are making it harder to actually effect real reforms. We need police, but we can make police forces less militarized and increase accountability.

I may have also done this.

A used leaf actually strikes me as a really good first car.

Pretty amazing that she kept finding people willing to loan her a vehicle.

Seconding this, we treat drunk driving more seriously than rape in the US. We have mandatory fines, license suspensions, ignition interlock, jail time and probation tiered to the severity of the DUI. You will at a bare minimum lose your license for six months and have an interlock when you get it back.
