Carvana has really competitive offers, in late 2020 they quoted me $500 more than I paid for my 2012 4Runner. I decided to keep it and a few months ago a woman ran a red light and smashed into me. I checked Carvana again and between higher mileage and a reported accident the offer dropped about 3K.

The Japanese are known for maintaining their cars to a very high standard and putting a very low amount of miles on them (geography helps here), making it more appealing to import an old car from Japan even if that car is European.

Standard practice is they don’t get paid until they finish their duty rotation and sign off the ship, if they bail early they get nothing.
