Carvana has really competitive offers, in late 2020 they quoted me $500 more than I paid for my 2012 4Runner. I decided to keep it and a few months ago a woman ran a red light and smashed into me. I checked Carvana again and between higher mileage and a reported accident the offer dropped about 3K. 

I read Terrance Howard demanded a higher salary and they replaced him. He is also an exceedingly strange man, even by Hollywood standards. Google some of his thoughts on math if you want to go for a wild ride. 

The Japanese are known  for maintaining their cars to a very high standard and putting a very low amount of miles on them (geography helps here), making it more appealing to import an old car from Japan even if that car is European. 

If this thing were a totally mint museum piece that price would seem a tad high, in this condition it’s delusional. 

I would assume anyone who owns a Highlander would not consider a minivan. People who need but don’t want minivans arethe Highlander’s reason for existence.

These guys come from countries where the other jobs available to them are basically subsistence farming or starvation. 

No one knows if this will drag on for years, the crew would be taking a gamble jumping ship. It will also make it very hard for them to find future employment if it’s known they’ve jumped ship from a previous job.

Standard practice is they don’t get paid until they finish their duty rotation and sign off the ship, if they bail early they get nothing. 

People do this but it’s exorbitantly expensive, it’s almost always cheaper to buy new furniture when you get to your destination.
