Nice bike! It looks pretty NYC already with the flat black paint, rear fender delete, and wrapped pipes. As a motorcycle rider and sometime NYC visitor I always admire the sort of gritty utilitarian look many of the bikes I see seem to take on. Also, I’ve always really liked Moto Guzzis even if my ‘78 Kawi 750 twin

I’m far from a JDM fanboy so I might be wrong, but I’ve heard it’s a thing in Japan to steal a hand ring from the subway and hang it off the back of the car, to show how low it is but also that you’re a tough guy.

Yeah I am also in no position to buy a brand new full frame and have been looking at a used body only a7rii (:

Not enough!

I mean... I drive my car every day, but a plane can FLY. Hard to say

I knew I’d seen it somewhere. There’s some great aviation coverage on Oppo too

3 articles about planes and 1 about a flying car. Time to rebrand as Planeopnik?

Thanks for the book! I can easily do the same thing when it comes to old film cameras. Last time I ran into you you were busy codriving, but if we meet again we’ll have to compare notes on old lenses and such (I also started with a Takumar 50 f1.4 and then a Helios, and owned a Canonet that I super regret selling).

Nice peace offering! I’ve been shooting some 4x5 lately and shoot a lot of cars on film, but for some reason I haven’t tried shooting a car on 4x5 yet. Thanks for the inspiration!

So Raph isn’t the only one shooting film now, I like it. One of us, one of us!

Natural light is the best light, thanks!

I’ll let Raph answer if he wants but I’m also going to jump in because I have an a6000 as well and have adapted many of my film lenses to it over the last 2 years.

As a car person that spends a lot of time playing with cameras myself, I always appreciate that a lot of you all shoot photos for your stories. While it’s not surprising that photos are a big part of digital #content these days, the photos on the site here often go above and beyond iphone snaps and regurgitated press

If I’m not mistaken modern WRC is already faster than group B just on suspension and tire improvements alone.

Do you have any of your shots online anywhere? As a photographer that still shoots a lot of film for fun/has a darkroom and loves rally the idea of pushed Ilford rally photos sounds pretty inspirational

Sorry y’all have to put up with this crap. Not that any of these emails ever dignified a response, but Sef handing it back to that one guy about sequential transmissions was great. The guy who couldn’t seem to grasp he was actually talking directly to you (Alanis) was something else too.

My first thought is wow this guy doesn’t seem like the brightest bulb on the string after driving a car off road in the desert with no water and without telling anybody, then chopping a perfectly good car up (including the firewall) just to almost kill themselves.

Looks to me like an LQ4 truck motor with some sort of LS intake, but I’m far from an expert in these types of things
