Guy: Electric cars give me range anxiety
I saw that one on your insta, I think it’s one of my favorites of yours. Very well done! If pushed Tri-X seems to put things in the ‘50s and ‘60s, slide film almost always gives a feeling of the ‘70s to me, or like pouring through old issues of Nat Geo when I was a kid. I love it
Superia 800! RIP. I’ve only shot the 400 flavor in daylight - with good results, but I don’t shoot color on film that much anymore. I need to get on the slide film bandwagon though, maybe I’ll try a couple rolls of Provia in my next B&H order
Cinestill? Or something e6?
Which is why I like to answer wrong sometimes. Ahhh chaos...
I take back what I’ve said about our autonomous future. It might be a lot of things, but this proves it won’t be boring...
Pack it up, we’re done here folks...
As somebody born in Jersey with family still living there, but who has spent the rest of his life in upstate NY - I can confirm both parts of your comment
That makes sense in places where grass lawns wouldn’t grow naturally (based off your username I’m guessing out west?). Here it rains enough and the soil is rich enough things are just going to grown anyways. I bought our house over the winter, and most of the back yard was dirt due to a new septic system being put in.…
Slightly better than that... it does use the license plate screws through the bumper to hold it flush to the car, but most of the weight bearing comes from two bolts in the front subframe under the car
Have a blast! Attending a WRC event is a total bucketlist thing for me. My wife has hinted she’s thought about surprising me with a trip to one before, so there is at least a non-zero chance of it happening someday. The question would be which one to see...
Same here. I posted a photo of my car with a Rally America banner I got after attending my first rally event and she liked it and had the site follow me. While I’ve attended a few other events when I can, besides having a mechanic who crew chiefs for a rally team I don’t have many other connections to motorsports…
I’m sure she doesn’t remember this, but Stef was the first author to ungrey me by having blackflag follow me - and my productivity at work has suffered ever since. She also volunteered to play tambourine in my hypothetical Jalop band once, which was rad because our last tambourine player spontaneously combusted and we…
I think last year was the first year I only drove about that much as I started working 20 minutes away. Before that I had an hour commute each way and was pushing 30k or more a year on my car.
If by “custom fab” you mean “hacked up some aluminum angle with a sawzall, an angle grinder and a drill while out in the driveway before the first snowstorm of the year”, than yes! (:
Yeah, I did some cursory research into using the CD changer wiring as an aux. At this point though I just got a new car for my wife which has both aux and bluetooth and will become our new road-trip mobile. I commute mostly via motorcycle in the summer, so it’s now just a fun/winter car. At that level of use I can…
I agree with you on all points, but especially the lack of an aux jack. I’ve got an OBXT and that is my #1 frustration...
Not that anything I’m going to say is going to sway you, and I’m not going to argue that Subaru interiors are the best or anything, but I’ve owned both an ‘05 impreza and an ‘05 outback and the outback line is a definitive step up from the impreza. That said Mazda does make some really great interiors.
