"Thumbs up, thumbs down" was a truly awesome moment.

It's completely unspoken, but part of me thinks that in that moment, Joyce thinks of Eleven as the daughter she never had — after hearing some of her story in the previous episode and seeing what happened to Eleven's actual mother, she realizes this is a girl who has never felt the comfort of maternal love. It's

After reading the Vulture interview where Millie Bobby Brown talked about how she idolized Winona Ryder and hung out on set just to see her work, I was SO happy they gave the two of them some scenes together in this episode. And of course, they played off each other beautifully and now their careers are forever

Exercise thread

Aw hell, I love them both.

"The extent to which we are all chucklefucks" is just a beautiful sentence fragment. Never leave us again, Sean O'Neal.

I avoided Kings Of Leon for years, simply because they have the absolute worst album titles I have ever encountered (on top of the fact that Kings Of Leon is already a shitty band name). Then later on I found out they actually have some pretty good songs. Huh.

I agree. I basically regard Led Zeppelin as a real-life Spinal Tap at this point.

Dustin is the real level-headed one, but what's great about Lucas is he THINKS he's constantly being the level-headed one. We all had a friend like that.

M is easily the most crowded letter in my collection. I've got at least 40 artists under that letter. I'm prepping my list early this week because I'm terrified I'll forget something.

Gotta have something I can be most ashamed of.

A split with Alice Donut, Uncompromising War on Art Under The Dictatorship Of The Proletariat, and the absolutely ridiculous covers album For Ladies Only. They're kind of a jokey novelty-esque band, but they've done some cool stuff.

Personally, I love seeing how much stuff I have in common with other music fans, and discovering weird, off-the-wall crazy obscure stuff in other people's collections. I've been introduced to several kickass bands through these threads, and I will continue to make them.

A lot of hate Reigns gets is leftover Cena hate. As soon as fans could perceive they were booking him as the next Cena, they shit all over it. The difference is, Cena at least has charisma and the ability to work a crowd. Roman just looked lost out there.

Green Room, The VVitch, Midnight Special, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Darling, The Invitation, Zootopia, Deadpool, Civil War and Apocalypse all range from "really good" to "aggressively OK".

Where all the K-lists and L-lists at?

Why do I keep clicking on these things

Soprano? You mean that weird saxophone that Kenny G plays?

I loved what she brought to the role. I hope they bring her back for season 2.

Horror is just one of many elements they're working with, and it's not the main focus. Be prepared for about 1-2 solid scare scenes per episode. They definitely don't go overboard with it.
