I read the phantom in comic book form in the 1970s in Fiji. Many of these comics came from India, though you could tell the "real" ones from the modern Knockoffs. There was also a series of books I loved. Part of the power of the Panthom was the tradition, and the multi-generational character of the Phantom line.

The Horse & his Boy by CS Lewis. It was my childhood go-to book every time I was at home sick.

In the titles, Moriarty'd be called M, and we wouldn't see him fly off with the cavorite. spoling an entire movie is the job for the preview, not the title sequence. ;p

thank you for introducing me to the original one. Hadn't heard it before.

the minute the comet swings past the sun the map goes to hell.

Don't forget the republic of Minerva!

I wanted to mod the paint job on my very first iPod, an old mini with the physical hard drive— not the flash ones they have now. So I used auto enamel to paint a racing stripe on it. It looked like hell, so I took some steel wool and scrubbed it off. Then I couldn't get the steel wool shavings entirely off, so I took

Am I the only one who looks at this dude and thinks, "Centauri?"

as much as I adore Hunger Games, I have to agree it hasn't been around long enough to count. What I would put before all dystopias, is Utopia, by Thomas Moore. This book allowed others to think about ideal civilizations and try them on. Star Trek's many worlds adventures come from the days when their could be

this was THE Narnia book for me as a child. I Reread every time I was sick at home.

I have a feeling it will be any minute. I was surprised to see it already nearly 50/50.

here's hoping Maggie will hide inside Bender to assassinate Nixon.

A lot of Hispanics in CC don't vote currently, but the drive is on to bring them out. You might find the area bluer than you'd like even after a split.

The thing I don't get about " Jefferson" is how it would support itself. There aren't any industries, except timber. (Which I assume would get going full steam again.) And what? Currently most of the social services are used by the poorest counties which are in the north and east. Is there enough agriculture? I have

The idea of Marin being separate from SF is completely ludicrous. On the east side, Tracy has practically become a suburb of Livermore.

I think he did Not show how it could be a dictatorship. He just made an unverified claim.

not that little town. San Francisco or Monterey would be the places shown.
