Tim Zahn clearly has a fan-appreciated talent for writing material based in the Star Wars Universe. So instead of wasting that talent on more OT-era “explicitly fill in every last bit of remaining nuance” content, Disney should let him branch out a bit and write something not involving OT characters or, the Good Lort

I live in a major city and am not that far removed from instances of violent crime. My brother, who also lives in this city, was randomly shot at by a car full of teens while walking his dog in broad daylight. They both made it out fine. But after that, even as reports of armed crime crop up in the streets surrounding

If Marvel had created a comic set post-ROTJ, created a cast of characters analogous to our OT heroes, and then published 36 issues of fantastical adventures that includes the one outlined in this post, then I probably would have eaten it up without a second thought. But these “fill in the blanks” types of Star Wars

I find streaming services to be incredibly frustrating. None of them support 5.1 audio and the services which have some sort of DVR or Live TV pausing are hampered with all sorts of content-provider redtape dictating which channels can be recorded or paused and which can’t.

I think a more interesting question would be whether a comparable third party service, like carrier insurance, beats AppleCare in terms of cost and device downtime.

What’s killed me about all of the negative feedback on Shenmue 3 is that Sonic Mania has managed to generate critical acclaim. Sonic Mania barely updates the look and feel of Genesis-era Sonic games and keeps the core gameplay virtually untouched with the exception of some level-specific gimmicks. Also worth noting is

That the customer service department is a either outsourced or a very low tier at Wal-Mart corporate, and is not immediately alerted to the actions of higher up offices.

It’s coming. I got the same email followed by my cancellation an hour later.

Now that you mention it, I remember hearing about the toys stuff.

As far as your question, what I was referring to was the generally accepted notion that the TV business was beholden to the Marvel Studios’ “leftovers.”

My understanding was that the mettling went the other way around, meaning that the movie teams had too much say over the television group and made their jobs harder. Got any specific anecdotes about Ike’s interference on the films?

The reason is same for why we won’t be seeing TV Heroes in the movies anytime soon...the Marvel Television business is a separate entity from Marvel Studios. They’re free to wheel and deal however they want. And I’m sure whatever money Marvel TV made from those deals is more than the zero dollars Disney was getting

I don’t think this show’s budget would allow for an entire season shot in space.

This game has consistently gotten my non-gamer girlfriend and I outside enjoying nice weather days when we otherwise would not have. We’ll get excited when we see one of these guys out in the wild.

People who get upset over this game and its “mediocre” updates aren’t really understanding what it’s for. Nintendo’s

I went grocery shopping shortly after reading your comment here and specifically checked out the Centos because of it. That seal isn’t present. It’s possible that I have a different variety because of where I’m located, but when was the last time you personally checked out a can?

I just saw the both of them live at a Pete & Pete reunion in Chicago a few weeks ago. Both are very much alive.

Former Bulls fan checking in. I turned off ESPN at around the 7th pick and picked up a new habit called “binge drinking.” Then I flipped on a wonderful English film called “Attack the Block” and followed that up with the first episode of the Prison Break revival on FOX. The latter was dreadful, but at least it helped

It’s cool that Viacom/Nick gave this the greenlight. That being said, I’m staring at my media shelf while writing this and am really feeling the absence of Pete & Pete Season 3 alongside my copies of Seasons 1 and 2.

It won’t be long until this franchise has its “Episode 7" moment and returns the sequel to the Milky Way after the events of the OT. It’s the only thing EA can do with the franchise at this point. Fewer people will be willing to return to Andromeda after the first go around, and you can’t go rebooting the series

Before Nintendo had officially announced Gold & Silver, there were bits of concept art that the internet had gotten their hands on and ran with. I remember after the Mew rumors had started to stagnate and everyone was obsessing with Missingnos. and all that, some sites had been running Gold & Silver assets as hidden

Especially early on, the MCU had done a pretty good job of toning down the more, uh, fantastical aspects of the source material and walking the fine line between “comic book-y” and “grounded.” I think you would have seen that with the X-Men, and Agents of SHIELD’s handling of the Inhumans is a good taste of how that
