I don’t think I’ve ever seen a show whiff the landing as hard as Wandavision; people remember being enraptured by the first two episodes, and somehow forget that it devolved into an awful, ugly, rote mess in the back half.

New Show to Be Just Like that Other Daredevil Show You All Liked, says Marvel guy
Is AW2 as pleased with itself about how clever it is as Control was?
For what it's worth, I don't think you're wrong for criticising (unless you're a SAG-AFTRA member, ofc). None of us are at the negotiating table or privy to the negotiating team's strategy. Maybe they're just trying to push their asks to the hilt in the wake of the WGA deal. We're all just reading tea leaves out here.
Silly asks can be important too, though. Collective bargaining is often a game of horse-trading, and an ask that you know the employer is never going to agree to is something you can give away for an actually-important gain
“Better than Boba Fett and Obi-Wan” is a masterclass in damning with faint praise
This show lost me when the galactic government didn’t think it was a good idea to chase after a bunch of treacherous thieves who tried to assassinate a general and stole the equivalent of 6 aircraft carrier power plants, and that general couldn’t put together a coherent argument to chase them that wasn’t about the…
Sadly the only work that, to my mind, comes close to the frenetic chaos vibe of the original Pinocchio is probably Oz. The rest of these are fairly straightforward stories, with the possible exception of Don Quixote.
Kindly go fuck yourself up a hot stovepipe
Considering the rest of the show looks roughly super-sentai level of FX, I’m betting on C.
This is 100% what happened. I wish they’d hurry up and get this extremely-obvious twist over with so they can move on to “whoever SENT the cookies poisoned him!”
a live action adaptation of a shit-weird-french-animation kids show? i am there for it
Some of it is just trying to milk as much content out of two episodes of TV as possible (this piece is about end credit music, I mean come on), but it is pretty great not having to worry about whether one show will satisfactorily reconcile 15 years worth of other shows (spoiler: it probs won’t).
Sucker Punch is great so long as you approach it as 5 super long unrelated music videos someone glued together
I’m not super familiar with the timeline, but Ahsoka has to be like 8-10 years older than the Mandalorian, and this show is contemporary with that one
[CODEC BLEEPIDTY BLEEP]
Babs Bunny and Buster Bunny (explicit relation) seems very wrong, to me
I’ve always appreciated how happily and wholeheartedly Tennant embraced all of the silly bullshit that comes packaged with Doctor Who
You can’t put together public health proposals to address or mitigate the problem unless you can clearly, scientifically define exactly how wet the water is and how much of it there will be. There’s probably more actual real world value in this kind of study than 95% of all basic bench science.
It’s crazy how terrible contemporary effects look on a TV. It’s bearable on the big screen, but insanely bad at home.
