Fantastic build.
Fantastic build.
The Armada is the poor man’s Sequoia, it is the destitute man’s Land Cruiser.
You should be able to get a current gen Nissan Armada, the poor and tasteless man’s Land Cruiser. It’s ugly and no one wants it for that reason, but it could be a good deal for you. Probably the more “modern” SUV you can get that fits your budget and can tow a car on a trailer.
LITERALLY how dare you. That black and white one is the exact one I own.
So....two doors, back seat?
Agreed, it’s also one of those vehicles that truly looks better in person than it does in photos.
I disagree. The XC40 looks a lot better than GM’s badge-engineered Korean siblings. As far as crossovers go, this is one of the only ones that is distinguishable from the crowd.
No, he did not.
That lead photo is just an unreasonably attractive car.
No, you are not allowed to exercise independent thought anymore. The mob is on it’s way.
Maybe, get this, looks are subjective? Did you ever think that maybe you’re just in the minority? Which is totally fine, of course. I like the first gen Infiniti M class but I know that car’s not for everybody.
Proportion is everything.
Many stars for your comment. Also weird lack of editing for an article by an EiC. Come on Jalopnik, do better.
Welcome to the fire, Rory. I hope you can tame it to the best of your abilities; respectfully, this foray was shit for a writeup. We all care deeply about cars, even if our tastes are different, but vomiting out a 200 word sneeze on an interesting and very rare car is not a good look.
To me, the uniqueness of “it’s not a 911” is a pretty big selling point. I’m not at the point in my life where a $100,000 car of any type is in the offing, but it sure seems like it would be a bummer to drop 100k and then see every Tom, Dick and Sally driving the same damn car.
First review from the new Editor-in-Chief, eh? Time for some constructive criticism.
Better than $60k in a Toyota with a BMW sourced I-6 though.
What? Why?
Yeah, that was weird. I get that the reviewer couldn’t wring out something like this on public roads very well. But something more than “totally fine as a daily driver” would have been nice. And then there’s useful mechanical tidbits like get the manual if you want the Torsen diff.
