Where are you seeing that this would be “costly” for them? Are you just repeating what they’re saying or you actually believe this would be “costly”? And how much are we talking about anyway?

No one seems to understand that’s why Uber and Lyft are so much cheaper. They don’t have to pay payroll tax, or regulatory fees or inspection fees, or maintenance, etc. All that is shifted to the driver, so the end user appears to be paying less, but in the end, someone is still paying.

Why does Uber and Lyft believe they’ll have less drivers signing up if they have to undergo fingerprint background checks?

The article doesn’t make clear whether this was meant to be a private photo only shared among these women. Burk is the one who publicized it. The Code of Conduct covers partisan acts visible to the public. I don’t see how a private photo would be prohibited, if that’s what it was meant to be.
