Shit, as I was just glancing at the gif at the right moment it looked as if someone was rallying a Volvo with the old 850 BTCC livery. My heart skipped a beat before I noticed that I was wrong.

Yey, this is really something that I’ve been hoping for (as a Kotaku reader and racing geek). Spending large sums on money on simulator hardware is kind of pointless if all you do is pressing the throttle and turning a wheel. I’d argue that 99% of the technical challenge in racing comes down to synchronizing your gear

You will never learn the feedback from video games, that’s definitely true. But a rig like the G27 can be incredibly useful when you want to demonstrate basic concepts to someone (such as crawling forward using the clutch to control your speed, or the slight pause that you do halfway up when you’re releasing the

I love its profile and all the little details, but the combination of those headlights and the small kidney grille results in a really weird face.

Red. Partially because every single one of the 200 Miatas who made it to Sweden in 1990 were red, but also because it kind of fits.

Hmm, I found at least one person on rx7club.com who claims to have done it, but I’m unsure about what generation:

Makes sense! If you don’t care too much about comfort, a real bucket seat can save a lot of leg room. If I one day have more money than I feel I deserve, I plan on getting one of these for mine:

If you like NA or NB miatas and you ever get a very good price for one, consider doing a ‘foamectomy’ and buying a smaller steering wheel. From what I’ve heard, it can make quite a big difference to tall drivers.

If you want something to play around with, consider getting paint.net. It’s free, 80% as powerful as Photoshop, yet 80% as easy to use as MS Paint. It’s what I’m usually using for these contests.

Shit, I’m late to the party. Did anyone do this yet?

A reasonable sum? About 200€/$300. That’s approximately what I’ve spent on my car the past year, including regular maintenance and a number of improvements/minor restoration projects.

I still have a soft spot for the EB110. It’s not all that pretty, but it has aged pretty well, and it captures the essense of 90s super cars perfectly.

Seconded, I think that this was a really horrible decision by the Gran Turismo developers.

According to the Reddit thread that went viral-ish yesterday, the fire spread to three apartment buildings and one body was found in the rubble. I’m somewhere inbetween feeling bad for him being responsible for this and being enraged at how an adult human can be this stupid.

I think that it’s available with a manual box, though I’m not sure about this particular car. But I’m eagerly awaiting a review from my friend and apprentice...

I’ve been teaching a friend to drive in my 1990 NA, and this is exactly the reaction I’ve been looking forward to. He’s never driven any other car, but now he’s going to continue his training in another friends BMW 1-series. His comment the last time we drove was “But it’s quite small, and it has the sports chassis or

I need to steal this and use it as a garden ornament/burglar repellent.

Buying a kit now (assuming that they might not be around for ever) and then getting a cheap donor car in ten years would be a neat investment for the future.

It’s difficult to be sure based on the picture, but I wouldn’t feel ripped off if he sold me those rims alone for close to $500.

Waaaaait a second, where in the US do you rent Miatas?? The last time I was in the US, the rental company forced me to drive this thing.
