Doug, I love you like my own daughter, but you just missed out on an opportunity to make the entire Jalopnik reader base collectively wet themselves.

Challenge: Go to Ikea, and for every piece of furniture you see, imagine a car with that name.
I felt a tingle in my gentleman's area just from reading this. And that was before I reached the part about 'a fully robotized body work'...
There are some acceleration figures up at Topgear.com. I put together this chart, showing time on the x-axis, and speed on the y-axis. The blue line is the Regera, the red one is my 1990 Miata for reference. The 0-100 kph time is limited by the traction, of course, but after that it's still pretty close to linear…
Mother of god, that is horrible. The front looks like it's suffering very badly, and the back looks like someone tried to make their Miata look like a Dodge Challenger.
Hahahaha! I scrolled down, was surprised by that picture, and uttered exactly "hnnnngh!"
Agreed. But it's a testament to both the quality of the engine and the skill of the creator that you need to look for things like this to convince yourself that they're not photos!
That's Norway, not Sweden. No free Teslas for us. However, considering that the Regera is a plug-in hybrid, I only think that it would be fair if we got some incentive to buy those instead!
Ah, well spotted. I went by the Vienna plates, but couldn't find street view data to match the facade of the store building.
I'm 90% sure that it's exactly here: https://maps.google.se/maps?q=Kohlmar…
I don't think that the tax rebates are as favorable here in Sweden as they are in Norway, so I've only ever seen a handful of them.
No. I asked for an equation, could you please give one to me?
Then please explain to me how it's relevant? Because since aerodynamic drag increases with the square of the velocity, at high speeds almost all the power goes to overcoming aerodynamic drag and internal friction. Neither of which depends on the mass of the vehicle.
It used to be Volvos or Saabs, but for the last two years or so before they finally gave up, not even Swedish people dared to buy a new one. I'm thinking that we can fill this void with Koenigseggs instead...
I'm from Sweden, I don't know what a Blazer is. We all drive Koenigseggs and/or Volvos. Usually Volvos.
I don't think they have given out any tech details yet (at least I haven't seen anything), but some people in these comments speculate that it could be running purely on electricity on low speeds. However, I'm not sure about that. When the ICE comes into play, you could still benefit from a gear box unless the rev…
