I don’t know if asking about male gaze in Korean was interpreted properly. Gender equality terms are not very well known in Korea because “feminist” is still an insult in that culture. There is no general knowledge about intersectionality, oppression, or rape culture because Korean culture rejects it.

I wrote about it on my blog and have been talking about it for years, to blind eyes and deaf ears. Pretty much every celeb who is touted as a “feminist role model” or whatever has worked with an abuser or a sex offender, knowingly. All of those people who protect those insiders are despicable.

Please remember that this is J.J Abrams. He loves to create mysterious plots, fan the fire on “fan theories,” then never wrap up the mystery or give an explanation to it.
