Am I a little weirded out by the specifying of “a black girl” in the first paragraph? I mean, do we say “age 17, a white girl who was from blah blah”?

So we are just going to completely ignore the fact that her crime was heavily influenced by abuse from Charles Manson. (Not saying that abused people cannot be criminals or be held accountable for their crime, just saying that if it had direct influence on the crime itself it should be considered)
Thank you — I struggle a lot with myself so your comment really brightened my whole week. <3
The amount of victim blaming disguised as a joke is fucking terrifying. I’m kind of an eccentric person, or so a lot of people say, and I don’t really see myself as a very likeable person. Does that mean that it’s okay to slut-shame me for years, make fun of me for years, and tell me that I deserved to be suspected…
I don’t like any celebrity talking about feminism because come on, you work in an industry full of abusers, willingly taking selfies with them and worship every Woody-Allen-Terry-Richardson “art” out there. Roman Polanski supporters, dime a dozen.
So if somebody draws me like a perfect barbie and worships me because “they love me” and that makes me uncomfortable since I just got out of a rehab for eating disorder and everything, I’m not allowed to say that it’s beautiful but a little unrealistic. How dare I.
Ohhh for sure. I went to a liberal arts college in LA and every single girl wore Nastygal. It is basically just another forever 21, with a side of “feminism” used as a branding tool.
Yes, if you tell people not to be abusive to others, you are definitely jealous :)
I feel like if she were a guy, she would have never been so loved by Jezebel because of the elevator hitting/abusive incident. But, she’s not, so the worship/strong female brand pushing continues. And no, I understand that it probably did not affect Jay-Z in a traumatizing way, but it is not okay to hit people.
I came here to say the exact same thing...!
Nick Pisa is disgusting. He didn’t give a fuck about the girl who died or the lives of people he ruined. He was just focused on talking about how great it felt to churn out trashy headlines after another. It was terrifying to see how he lacked a conscience. And the whole thing was just fabricated through sexism. “Oh,…
Gotta love how people roll out every weird, vague, and nonsense excuse in the book to explain why they don’t want to even try to act like non-white people exist <3
Thank you, you are amazing and I bet your sons will grow up to be amazing feminists as well.
Thank you, you are an amazing mom!!!!
Y’all know he’s a rape apologist & Terry Richardson’s best friend who always willingly supported him during the whole debacle right? No one should be fangirling over him by now.
Why are people surprised that his movies are still popular & that Hollywood doesn’t care? This is an industry that always, always, always protects abusers, racists, sexists, and child molesters like Roman Polanski with open arms. Please don’t expect morals from them.
I don’t agree with the police policing what people wear, but then again I don’t agree with a religion that requires women to cover up through policing women’s attires under “modesty” bullshit, either.
Wow. Some people here are not even trying to hide their victim-blaming attitudes towards Amber.
So? Can you not be a charitable person who donates that much money, and then still wants the tax return? Does she have to “prove” to people in every way by being penniless and alone after the divorce in order for others to believe that she is a domestic abuse victim? People are so fucking awful & victim-blamey.
I see you saying that in every comment but that is still only your opinion. There are hundreds of people everywhere who thinks they’ve cracked the JB case and they all seem pretty solid to me on their own.
