Interesting that the “change of belief systems” examples presented were folks moving from a conservative to a more liberal world view. It just makes these kinds of articles a bit predictable. Or a least has its own elements of confirmation bias.

Why are they making such a point to say that the loot boxes “are fun and enjoyable for people”? It’s not like that was ever part of this legal discussion. When I was in court for *allegedly* selling crack to 12 year olds I wasn’t all “but you know your honor, the kids really enjoy crack, it makes em feel good.”

Completely fine with it.  Its a single-player game.  Exploiting and playing games the “wrong” way has always been a part of video game culture.  As long as it doesnt ruin the game or fun for other people, its cool.  

Lets just all remember that he is a child and likely doesn’t have the perspective to understand how awful this is. And instead blame the scores of adults who still made it happen.
